Kernow Clinical provide clinical and medical waste disposal services at very competitive prices. Caroline discusses how the firm has grown since inception and how they work to provide clients with the very highest standards of service. “From the very start of the business we have made it our mission to shake up the way clinical waste is collected in our area by going back to basics and really getting to know our customers and their business. All of us (including the office staff) know where the bins are sited at each premises and have been out on all rounds so that when a customer calls we know who they are by giving the name of the business or sometimes just by the way they say “hello”. We do not even have an automated phone system, instead you get a real person who is able to assist you with your quotation/order/query etc there and then - a revolution nowadays. “Although we are a relativity small business compared to our WUK17068 competitors we service most of the large contracts in our area for the reasons already mentioned and how quickly we can act because we are based in the area and we can make decisions straight away. We also monitor the amount of waste we collect from every customer so we know when something has changed and can predict roughly when they will need collections of sharps or pharmaceuticals for example, or if there is a potential problem we can solve it before it becomes an issue.” What sets the firm apart is its bespoke solutions and dedicated client support, as Caroline is keen to highlight. “At Kernow Clinical we work collaboratively with our clients to ensure that they get the very best from our services. For customers that only have a small amount of waste we offer as and when collections, however if we haven’t heard from a customer for a while we will quite often call them and ask if they require a collection and more often than not we will get the answer “we’ve been meaning to phone but keep forgetting - thank you so much”. We also like to offer fair and flexible contracts so that customers can add or remove services especially essential in our area as some businesses are busier in the summer than the winter. “Our invoicing is plain English and straight forward as we are all for keeping things simple, so that customers can understand and they only get invoiced for the waste that’s produced. This is especially true for dentists as quite often with previous contractors they are tied into “dental packages” which most dentists do not know what is included in the package because it keeps changing or is just a set charge. By simplifying this to only charging for what they have we have been able to save many a great deal of money. “To support these clients further, we also offer a complete dental solution as we found that some dentists were using two or more contractor for their waste which in turn meant they were paying double or triple on the paperwork, so again an immediate saving for them.” Looking ahead, Kernow Clinical will continue to offer the very highest standards of support, as Caroline is proud to conclude. “Overall, supporting our customers is very important to us and we reciprocate the business wherever possible which helps to instil our fantastic relationship no matter how large or small the business, and this will remain our ongoing focus moving forward.”
