UK Enterprise 2017

82 WORLDWIDE BUSINESS REVIEW / UK Enterprise Awards 2017 , Best Luxury Hotel 2017 - Manchester The jewel in the regenerative crown of Salford’s historic Chapel Street area, the AinscowHotel is ideally situated just near to some of Manchester’s brightest andmost exclusive lights. We profile the establishment to learnmore. Featuring impeccable rooms, superb service and the opportunity for guests to shamelessly indulge their love for luxury, the Ainscow Hotel provides a unique way to experience the varied pleasures and inimitable character of the two cities. With a history dating back to 1878, The Brown Brothers Building has long been recognised as a local landmark – standing as it does on the very border between the twinned cities of Manchester and Salford. Initially built as the Watson & Woodhead brewery, the building changed hands in 1927, becoming a jam factory for Mackie & Sons Fruit Preservers. In 1957 the building was occupied by Brown Brothers Auto Parts who would remain there until 1986. From then, this splendid testament to Northern industrialisation would lay barren – eventually falling into disrepair. Having served as an industrial workplace for over a century, the Brown Brothers Building has played an important role in the working lives of tens of thousands of local people. In respect of this, we have worked with Salford City Council to recruit 75% of our staff from the local community in order to preserve this tradition. Whilst proud of its rich heritage, the Ainscow Hotel WUK17052 has been designed to impress. Unashamedly in the thrall of contemporary British style, comfort and luxury, the hotel offers a stylish yet informal retreat for visitors to two cities. Originally created with the aim of side-stepping the clichés that make many boutique hotels so painfully repetitive there is one cliché that the Ainscow Hotel were proud to subscribe to; delivering an inspired home- away-from-home experience brought to life by a personal touch and eye for the little details. The stunningly appointed rooms featuring a classic style, ranging from superbly appointed standard rooms to some of the most decadent suites in the city, each space has a distinctive character and personality of its very own. Indeed, every room at the Ainscow Hotel is unique - but each share the common theme of no detail being spared. Offering inimitable luxury with no small dose of architectural drama, the hotel’s bedrooms combine striking features such as spiral staircases that open out onto mezzanine areas with stunning city-wide views and artisan furnishings to compliment every detail. Additionally, the hotel also boasts a spa, which has recently been relaunched in partnership with Cryotherapy UK. With 2 double treatment rooms, relaxation room, manicure and pedicure stations, the spa is proud to offer a wide range of beauty treatments along with Cryotherapy. For those seeking seasonal, local food, the hotel’s Lynwood Restaurant is ideal. With the culinary signature of its Head Chef evident in every dish, guests of the Lynwood Restaurant can look forward a showcase of contemporary British cooking emboldened by an international dash of drama and flair. Overall the hotel boasts the very best of everything- from service through to food and everything in between- meaning that guests can rest assured that they will enjoy the perfect stay in the heart of Salford.
