It supplies live music entertainment to corporate parties and high-end weddings throughout the UK and internationally. Elisabeth Chidi has been passionate about gospel, soul, and live disco music for many years, and fell in love with the business of live music coordination through the work she did previously promoting major gospel artists from the USA. At the time she was working for a small London company, who she helped to champion artists such as Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, and Fred Hammond. This background helped her learn the art of anticipating the needs of artists, clients, and crowds. Something she puts to good use today in order to achieve exciting and successful events with Soulplay. Soulplay is made up from an array of musicians to form a 12-piece show band that are ideal performers at weddings or corporate function events. As an ensemble, it is known for its high-energy, interactive shows that include chart hits of the last 4 decades. These range from 70s funk classics, through to soul, Motown, and contemporary popular music hits. Customers are free to book any combination of Soulplay they like, from the DJ Plus package, to a 7piece band iteration, to the full 12-piece ultimate package. The band is formed from an army of talented vocalists and musicians, who together have stunned audiences and celebrities all across the world. It brings decades of collective industry know-how, including experiences such as playing alongside artists such as Stevie Wonder, Gloria Gaynor, James Brown and Pixie Lott. Soulplay even performed at the Royal wedding of HRH Prince Harry and Megan. This makes it one of the most accomplished live music collectives in the country. For weddings, Lis acts as the onsite music coordinator, ensuring smooth facilitation of all the musical elements required for your event. She aims to create the “soundtrack to your love story” by being on hand throughout the entire planning stage, and on site at your event to make sure everyone is happy and dancing the night away. It will supply clients with a first dance song request, a laptop playlist during intervals, a professional sound engineer, and band lighting and PA for up to 150 people. Soulplay will be in attendance for a maximum of 7 hours, inclusive of set-up and pack down. All public liability insurance and PAT safety testing will be included (insured up to £5,000,000) The 7-piece band package includes 2 vocalists, a saxophonist, a first dance plus 1 additional song request, and 2 x 60-minute sets. The laptop playlist will be available during intervals, and a sound engineer included. This package supplies band lighting and PA for up to 250 people, and the band will be in attendance for a maximum of 8 hours (including set-up and pack down). All public liability and PAT testing will be taken care of as per the previous package details. The Ultimate package is for clients who are looking for something that really makes a statement. It provides the party experience of your dreams, with everything turned up that extra notch to give customers a truly unforgettable experience. It features a live DJ as well as a 12-piece band who will expertly perform all your favourite party tunes on a range of bold instruments including a brass section, percussion, and strings. This package is perfect for large weddings, parties, and corporate events. It features 4 vocalists, a keyboardist, drummer, guitarist, bass guitarist, percussionist, brass section and a violinist. There will also be a live DJ during intervals, 2 x 60-minute sets with the possibility of song requests, an early arrival time, mics provided for speeches, additional concert style lighting and PA for up to 350 people. Staging and a stage crew will be provided, with a maximum 10 hours of attendance by Soulplay.
