He tells us more about Primacy Homecare’s services, priorities and plans for the future. Homecare can entail anything from basic help for a few hours to overnight or live-in support. Depending on needs, carers may assist with personal care, medication support, meal preparation, companionship, mobility and appointments, or specialist support for conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, physical disabilities or life-limiting illnesses. He tells us: “We founded our company because we wanted local people to have a dependable alternative to leaving the home and community they know. The business has grown from a small founding team into an established local provider. We always start by getting to know the person. How do they like their morning to begin? What makes them feel safe? Which relationships and routines matter to them? Families are included, with the client's consent, so that care feels joined-up.” Combining personal, locally led care with strong professional systems, Primacy Homecare is large enough to be dependable, but small enough to ensure directors and managers know clients, families and care professionals personally. Nirav says: “We look beyond availability when matching clients to carers, considering personality, interests, communication style, culture and the services each client needs. Our care-management system gives families and our team accurate, up-to-date information about visits, care notes and changes in wellbeing.” Recruitment, training, supervision, spot checks and regular reviews reinforce the same high standards without losing sight of the personal touch. Responding to high demand has been one of Primacy Homecare’s biggest challenges. With care enquiries often urgent, the easy commercial decision would be to accept every request and then endeavour to fulfil it. However, the company has chosen a more disciplined route. Nirav explains: “If we can’t provide the right people at the right times, we would rather be honest, arrange a safe start date or signpost elsewhere. In response to this challenge, we’ve tightened our assessment and matching process, invested in digital records and visit monitoring and strengthened care coordination, supervision and feedback.” The result is growth based on trust and recommendation, not simply volume, with better consistency for clients and a more sustainable working environment for staff.
