Darowen Jones is the consultancy’s Managing Director and a member of the Association of Project Management with extensive experience in Operational Management, Business Planning, and Project Management in the Regeneration, Heritage, and Charity sectors. By combining his strong background in generic management with an analytic approach to problem solving, Darowen delivers unparalleled quality standards while ensuring his team meet stringent targets. After qualifying with an Honours Degree in Building Surveying in 1999, Darowen began his career working for a small insurance reinstatement contractor. His role as Surveyor/Estimator involved visiting multiple properties to assess their insurance claims and providing cost estimates to their insurer. Through this work, Darowen learned the importance of clear communication, particularly when dealing with clients who were distressed or inconvenienced due to the nature of the claim. In 2001, Darowen transitioned to Social Housing at English Churches Housing Group where he became the youngest senior manager after a promotion to Property Services Manager. After a short time at another Social Housing provider, Darowen moved to the Riverside Group in 2006, holding the position of Deputy Director, PFI, and Contracts. Within this role, he was responsible for over £300m of commercial income and projects, essentially filling the position of Senior Project Manager. Leaving to establish Kinver in 2014, Darowen first started at the company as an interim consultant. Through word of mouth, Kinver quickly gained an esteemed reputation and was awarded work through successful tendering exercises.
