Recently, we caught up with the company’s Director, Karl to discuss how being at the forefront of their industry has played a major part in the company’s latest win in SME News’ Midlands Enterprise Awards 2020. Like so many other industries, COVID-19 also impacted the vocational driver training sector. Whilst the demand for such training has remained buoyant, Diamond Driver Training have been severely limited in their ability to provide training, and the business is currently running at 50% of pre-COVID-19 number of tests from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). However, as an East Midlands-based business, Diamond Driver Training is geographically well placed in terms of local demand and with the logistics industry being so overloaded at the moment, once the tests return to full capacity it will undoubtedly be a very busy time for the team.
