A-one also works closely with the Construction Sector nationally offering builders cleans and “hand over” cleans. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses, especially smaller, family run businesses, have felt the impact. Over the last year, a high percentage of staff members have been furloughed and feared safety during the outbreak. However, a-one Cleaning Services has managed to adapt through the constant transitions. The trained team offer a 24-hour emergency service for all positive COVID-19 cases nationally, and a daily virus decontamination service, which protected many businesses that couldn’t afford to shut during the pandemic by ensuring that the workplaces needed were safe to use. To provide a degree of security on all sides, the a-one Cleaning Services team have been fully trained and certified by the British Window Cleaning Academy. a-one provides a daily sanitation system for internal and external surface, adding extra protection and prevention against bacterial, mould, spores, viruses and other organisms using the chemical Vanoquat. This chemical has passed the EN 14330 test against COVID-19 and is legally recommended for use against the Coronavirus. This impressive technology, used by A-one, was awarded for their wining service as featured in the Derby Telegraph, June 8th, 2020. As its reputation has grown, so has the firm’s repertoire of services and its geographical reach, which now covers the whole of the Midlands and nationally. With that, a-one has taken extra measures to ensure that each member of staff is fully trained in each service they provide and also invested in upgrading their products to ensure they all comply with COVID-19. “When we are not working with our clients, we offer in-house training to keep staff up to date with our latest policies, developments in technology and health and safety legislation. Daniel states, “We are proud of our customer service and the fact that we can be very proactive and manage client requests swiftly. As a small business, we know how hard it is, therefore, it is our priority to support companies to get their premises “work ready” and building on the relationships formed over the years.” The management are very proactive and have a “hands-on” approach to the business and carry out rigorous audit checks throughout the year out of hours and work collaboratively with staff, supporting them to ensure clients receive an a-one service every time. “Maintaining our reputation is paramount, therefore, we carry out all initial site visits, complete regular audit checks and “check in” with all our clients throughout the year” a-one felt it was crucial to recruit a Business Manager to support the business and move it forward to its next phase. “We recruited Rosy Banwait in February 2021,” Daniel announces. “She has made a positive impact to the business already, by working closely with the Directors, supporting staff and clients, as well as improving the business management systems.
