Midlands Enterprise Awards 2021
75 | Midlands Enterprise Awards 2021 Natures Coaching takes its inspiration from nature, when the magic occurs which is when all the elements work in harmony with one another. Natures Coaching works with individuals and teams to help them create their own magic, supporting them to harness all their talents and work in a way that generates the right climate for them and their team to flourish. Nature also has the ability to adapt and change, often evolving into something stronger and more resilient; understanding what is required to prosper in an ever- changing environment is crucial to future success. People and organisations often find change difficult, though it is inevitable. Natures Coaching supports individuals and businesses, identifying what changes are needed, and then assists them in making those changes, enabling them to have continued success. Six values guide Natures Coaching’s people through everything they do. Being ‘inspirational’ to make people want to go outside their comfort zone and take progressive steps towards their goals; being ‘adaptable’ and responsive to clients’ needs; offering a ‘high-quality’ service via the most up-to-date coaching and development techniques, psychological theories and research; always being ‘positive’ in order to find solutions to any challenge presented; being ‘trusted’ to ensure a confidential service is provided and develop good, long-term working relationships; and being ‘passionate’ about maximising peoples’ potential and wellbeing. This is all while enjoying what they do. It is Natures Coaching’s people that make it unique, the combination of their personalities, their strengths, values and professionalism. Each member of the team believes that the company’s work is important and makes a positive difference to others, which is why they do what they do. They all work on themselves, develop themselves to ensure they are nourished and are the best they can be to their clients. The company’s services have particularly been needed with the toll that the pandemic has taken Best Executive Coaching Development Company – East Midlands on how people feel and their wellbeing; they feel less connected to other people and their work. Those teams that have supported individual wellbeing and remained connected on a personal level have coped, as opposed to those who have focused more on the task and the business outcomes rather than relationships and support. Natures Coaching has found itself working with individuals who have struggled and are just functioning, have lost the enjoyment in their life, or have been challenged by mental ill health. It has also supported teams to create safe spaces to build trust and genuinely understand how they are feeling and how that impacts on their leadership style and approach. Natures Coaching was initially challenged by the pandemic in terms of how it was going to support its clients when it wasn’t able to connect with them face-to-face. Principle of Natures Coaching, Julie Hickton said, “We have, I’m pleased to say, been able to provide personal and important coaching virtually. Because we stuck to our principles and beliefs about what makes good development, we have also been able to produce strong personal development programmes and interventions to support larger groups in workshops, which have been very successful” She continued, “Individuals will still need support around their wellbeing going forward, as we move through these changing times and adapt to what’s going on now, helping them to understand and process what’s been going on. Through creating safe spaces for people and teams to explore, understand and build, we believe we can help support others to bring joy and fulfilment into their lives and they then can go on to do the same in their own unique way for others.” Natures Coaching has now partnered with another successful coaching business, Xenonex, to deliver its live online resilient leader development programme, which is a new exciting development for the company. It has also recently partnered with one of its associates, Louise Wembridge and designed and delivered a live online mentoring development programme for the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. This programme supports the mentoring of new surgeons and was extremely well-received by the 20+ consultants, enabling the company to see who it may be able to deliver more of this type of work to going forward, to really support organisations in developing strong mentorship skills and approaches. The company is also continuing its own development and bringing new offerings into its work. This autumn, Julie is training in the “coaching the childhood story and narrative”, which will no doubt bring another dimension to the coaching and development work that Natures Coaching does. Julie concludes, “We see wellbeing and resilience and supporting individuals with mental health as important facets of our what we do going forward – building on what we do well now around these aspects.” Company: Natures Coaching Contact: Julie Hickton Email:
