BTST focuses on treating everyone as an individual, offering a tailored level of care and treatment along with rehabilitation exercise advice. Rebecca Tyler is the firm’s owner and Clinic Principal. As a highly qualified, versatile Osteopath with more than 13 years’ worth of experience in treating patients, Rebecca offers osteopathy, paediatric osteopathy and sports massage as well as being a qualified personal trainer and swimming teacher. Her passion for helping people and her love for the job always keeps her seeking her next course and learning opportunity. Rebecca’s expertise have also been recognised in the professional sporting world, where she works with side car racer Tom Birchall and British event rider, Oliver Townsend. Rebecca fully understands the demands high-level sports can put on the body having previously competed as a county level swimmer. She can now use her knowledge to help sporting professionals perform at their best with the right treatment plan in place. During treatment, Rebecca combines all her experience, knowledge and skills to get to the source of the problem quickly and effectively, but BTST isn’t just Rebecca, its made up of a whole team of highly trained and skilled professionals who are dedicated to continually investing in their ongoing professional development. The team here at BTST are all active in the field of sports and fitness and understand first-hand the challenges that can occur in the pursuit of peak physical wellness and sporting success. “Working as a team means all our therapists have the back up of one another to ask questions or opinions on a patients presentation or training needs” Rebecca Explains. “We also benefit from the internal academy where all out team attend regular CPD courses to ensure they are offering the very best and accurate treatment to each and every client” Thats right, not only is BTST a clinic where patients are treated, the firm also operates a sports massage training academy called BTST Academy, where it offers accredited courses in sports massage and manual therapy CPDs. Courses are delivered by Rebecca and her team, something they love to do, being able to pass on their knowledge to the next generation of therapists. The Covid-19 pandemic saw many changes within the medical industry, one of the main changes being how people can obtain an appointment with their GPs. This has made it even more difficult for people to see someone when they were experiencing pain and, ultimately, not knowing who to turn to. However, Rebecca tells us, “Whilst we are a private business and charge for our services, we always try to be there for our patients. This includes being there to offer free advice when needed by being on the end of the phone or email. An appointment isn’t always needed, sometimes its just advice on where to go and what to do, and here at BTST we will always offer this help when needed”. Recently, in recognition of its dedication to its clients, BTST Osteopathy & Sports Massage Clinic was rewarded with not one, but two prestigious titles in the Midlands Enterprise Awards, being named Nottinghamshire Osteopathy & Sports Massage Clinic of the year for its knowledge and expertise, as well as receiving the SME Customer Satisfaction Excellence Award 2023 for exceptional customer service. With the future at her fingertips, Rebecca is committed to continuing to improve wherever possible from both a business and a personal point of view to ensure she can push the boundaries in offering even better customer service. “We’ll never be satisfied or complacent, as there will always be something else we can do to help our patients and local community,” she says. “We look forward to what the future holds as we continue to grow”.
