Stephen proudly discusses the firm’s service offering and how it works to support its clients and provide them with services which meet their individual needs. “Here at Durham Electrics, we primarily focus on LED lighting and helping save our client’s money on their energy bills through the installation of energy efficient technologies. However, the backbone of our company is providing electrical emergency assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This often leads our engineers to travel to remote places in the county assisting vulnerable customers. We are proud to be able to fix 95% of all emergency problems within the first hour of arrival. “Fundamentally, we believe our reputation within the letting industry will enable new and existing landlords in the area to work with us for electrical maintenance. Something that sets us apart from other local competitors is the fact we provide in-house training to small businesses and landlords on emergency lighting testing to help save them money.” Looking to the future, there are many exciting projects ahead for this dynamic and innovative company, which will enable it to continue to grow and prosper, as Stephen concludes. “Over recent years, Durham Electrics has been steadily growing and we are currently expanding into Cumbria and North Yorkshire to further support one of our blue-chip clients. We will also continue to invest and research new technologies to support local businesses both regionally and nationally where practical. “Another area of fast growth for the business is within the leisure industry. We help commission new caravan pitches on two well established sites in County Durham as well as provide annual electrical servicing to static caravans. We have recently been approached to take our services to the North West and are delighted to expand in this area. “Ultimately, in the coming months’ we will continue to work with Northern Powergrid on some electrical education initiatives.
