Most recently, Lily has brought together a number of businesses who donated time, money and resources to create a series of videos for a #BreaktheSilence campaign for UK based charity Press Red. The mission of the charity, of which Lily is a trustee, is to stop violence and abuse against women and girls in all its forms. The video campaign, which encourages bystander intervention, has been featured in National Press and reached hundreds-of-thousands across social media. Looking to the future Morgan James Consulting’s values led approach means that they are continually challenging themselves and each other to bring new innovations to the table, whilst building on the foundation stones of sound leadership theory to help their clients build more successful businesses. This is a mind-set which stood the business in good stead as they had to quickly adapt to the challenges of Covid-19, with the introduction of remote sessions and the optimised use of platforms such as Zoom. More significantly, during the first lockdown of 2020, the business chose not to worry about profits but developed and delivered a pro-bono programme of webinars to help their clients. Morgan James describes their clients as being terrific during this time, responding to the challenges with a ‘we can get through this together’ approach. As restrictions have been relaxed and ‘in real life’ sessions have once more become possible, the business has also moved on to develop a number of new initiatives scheduled for 2022. This includes new workshops and courses, continued development of their signature Strategic Leaders and Step into Management Programmes and the launch of two brand-new programmes. These are ‘Leadership Mastery’ – designed for experienced leaders to take their leadership skills to the next level, and ‘Authentic Women Leaders’ – helping women to build their confidence, raise their game and take on some of the unique challenges of being a woman in a leadership or management position. When reflecting on Morgan James Consulting, what they do and how they do it, perhaps Lily Newman puts it best when she explains: “Our philosophy for work and life can be found in Howard Thurman’s quote; ‘Don’t ask what the world needs.
