When asked about our preferences as we become older, or less able, the vast majority of us would prefer to stay in our own homes for as long as possible. As well as all this, the friendly staff at Rayman Healthcare are also on hand to provide companionship to those at risk of feeling isolated. Over the past 12 months, care provision has been challenging due to the pandemic and a significant shortage of care workers. But Folasayo remains optimistic. She explains, “Since the addition of the care worker role to the shortage occupation list, there’s been a spike in the number of applications for care worker jobs. This is a positive development that has massively helped to improve staffing issues within the sector. We’re also fortunate to be based in a region where the local council ensures we have enough staff to provide high-quality services.” When looking to recruit new team members, Folasayo looks for those applicants who have a genuine passion for helping others as well as relevant experience. She says, “Our culture is about togetherness and openness between the leadership team and colleagues. We actively encourage learning and reflection and put a strong focus on staff welfare. We’ll continue to build an environment where everyone is happy to go to work.” Asked about the future, Folasayo assures us it’s looking bright.
