Now in its fifth year in business, the firm’s clients predominantly hail from North Yorkshire, with a few further afield, including the Leeds, the Midlands, Durham, Greater Manchester and London. Whilst the majority of them are senior citizens, with a few being over 100 years ‘young’, there are a range of ages that the company caters for, with the youngest patient being just 21. Founded by Yan Wells in 2019, Hear & Now takes time to get to know each one of its patients by providing a personalised, friendly, and allround professional service in order to give all patients the respect, support, and aftercare that they do not necessarily get from other hearing healthcare providers. “The firm’s mission is to give patients a new and happier restart in life by helping them to rehear the most beautiful sounds in the world,” Yan enthuses. “We are compassionate and guided by the principal of fairness. Although we are a private enterprise, we always put patients before profits. We only recommend the most suitable, not the most expensive’ hearing devices to our patients. We have from time to time offered free hearing care services to patients who are struggling to meet their payments too.” As a small team of just five people, it is important that the staff members collaborate to create a compassionate, supportive and fun team, that is passionate about helping others to hear and liver better. Recently, in recognition of its dedication and hard work, the company gained the prestigious title of Hearing Care Centre of the Year 2023 - North Yorkshire in the Northern Enterprise Awards.
