Northern Enterprise Awards 2025

Le Rôti is an independent British French fusion artisan takeaway based in the seaside town of Lytham St Annes. The menu centres around Red Tractor certified rotisserie chicken, served in freshly baked baguettes, boxes and salads, alongside handmade sausage rolls and the Croissant Rôti which has quickly become a local favourite. Known for fresh food done properly, Le-Rôti has built a loyal following across the local community, offices and events. We speak to owner Oscar Rowley about the journey so far and what lies ahead. Best Local Salad Bar & Artisan Takeaway 2025 - Lancashire Le Rôti began during the Covid period when Oscar Rowley’s father decided to purchase Le-Rôti. At the time, Oscar was on furlough from the family events business and living in Antibes in the south of France, where he had been working in the super yachting industry and travelling extensively. When he returned home, it felt natural to become involved in the business and eventually take it forward himself. Today, Le-Rôti has become a well-known fixture in Lytham St Annes, regularly selling out collection slots by early afternoon. Oscar explains that the focus has always been simple. Serve real food properly, be consistent, and do the basics well. He describes the approach as fast but not fast food, which has resonated strongly with customers. While the food is at the heart of the business, Oscar believes the brand matters just as much. From packaging to menu structure, everything is designed to feel considered and joined up. Small details are important, and the aim is to create something recognisable without losing the warmth of a local independent business. The menu has continued to evolve, with roast boxes becoming a signature offering and a refreshing lunchtime range proving popular with customers looking for quality food that fits into a busy working day. The Petit Midi meal deal range has become a particular favourite, offering a lighter option without compromising on flavour. Le Rôti’s success is also built on its team. Head chef Chris has worked with the Rowley family for over two decades, and many members of staff have been part of the journey for years. Oscar places strong emphasis on creating a positive working environment where people feel valued and trusted. He believes that when a team enjoys what they do, it naturally shows in the service and the food. There is a strong sense of community at Le Rôti, with many customers known by name and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere in store. Oscar acknowledges that maintaining this feeling will be one of the biggest challenges as the business grows but believes it is achievable with the right people and the right culture. Looking ahead, the focus for next year is consolidation and careful growth. New menu ideas are planned, systems continue to be refined, and there are early conversations around the possibility of opening a second Le-Rôti location. For Oscar, the priority remains the same. Do things properly, look after the team, and continue building something the local community can be proud of. Contact Details Company name: Le-Rôti Contact name: Oscar Rowley Website: www.leroti.com
