Following the firm’s well-deserved success in the UK Enterprise Awards 2020, we touched base with John Moore to find out more. As a small nurse-led clinic, Eterna Aesthetics offer the largest range of beauty treatments in the county. Going into further detail, John starts off by providing us with a brief overview of the clinic and offers more insight into its clientele. “Here at Eterna Aesthetics, our aim is to provide a holistic service that enables both women and men to look and feel their best. Typically, we offer facial and hair loss treatments, beauty treatments including waxing and eyelash care, and massage and physical therapy including sports massage, aromatherapy, and reflexology. At all times we are friendly, safe, non- judgemental, caring, and honest, which is the exact experience we want to provide our clients with when they are visiting our clinic.” In its attempts to distance itself from the crowd, the firm adopt a transparent approach to its beauty treatment, as John points out. “From the start, we are always clear on the most effective treatments both in terms of the realistic results our clients can expect and the costs. By providing this information our clients are then in full control.” Alongside Helen Martin, John has been jointly running Eterna Aesthetics since 2018 and as he goes on to explain, their experiences prior to launching the business have been highly invaluable. “Previously I have worked across many health settings and trained as a nurse at St James’s Hospital in Leeds, gaining over 16 years’ experience. To complement this, Helen has over 30 years of nursing experience under her belt. After initially training as a beautician and holistic therapist, she started to specialise in non-surgical aesthetic procedures and build a career for herself from there. Combining these experiences with constant training in innovative treatments and therapies has ultimately given us a platform to deliver the best possible treatments to our clients.” Bringing the interview to a close, John signs off by sharing some of the developments recently seen in the industry, before outlining a few of the exciting plans which lie in the pipeline for the firm for 2021 and beyond. “When asked which non-surgical treatments women are most commonly having, practitioners have mentioned 22 treatments in total but two dominant ones in Botox (cited by 90% of practitioners) and dermal fillers (nominated by 86%). Two fifths (42%) said chemical peels are a top treatment among female patients, laser hair removal was suggested by 36%, teeth whitening by a third (33%) and non-surgical facelifts by 31%. Interestingly, 6% said that vaginal rejuvenation is the treatment they are commonly being asked for, and this group said the procedure makes-up the bulk of their business. In terms of male clients, the respondents identified 20 treatments that are most popular, and Botox again topped the list, nominated by 83%. However, in contrast to women, the second most popular choice was teeth whitening, with 44% of practitioners saying this is the treatment men are opting for. Dermal fillers came third, mentioned by 36%. According to one in five, laser hair removal is also a common request among male patients, with chemical peels the fifth most popular treatment choice, nominated by 17%. “Moving forward despite all the setbacks from COVID-19, we as a small business are determined to ride the storm through our ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs both in terms of our clients and the impact of COVID restrictions.” Company: Eterna Aesthetics Contact: John Moore Website: www.eternaclin.org
