Following its well-deserved success in the Southern Enterprise Awards 2020, we caught up with CEO, Robert Ciuraru to find out more about one of the best building contractors in London today. From the initial idea through to the construction phase, Robert’s 21st Century Design are passionate about building its clients’ dreams. To begin, Robert provides a brief overview of the firm and offers more insight into its clientele. “Although we are based in London, since launching we have worked in many local regions including Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent amongst other counties. Typically, we are involved in new builds, architectural design, home refurbishments and extensions, loft conversions, and kitchen & bathroom renovations amongst other areas.” Since its inception competition has been an ongoing challenge for the firm, but as Robert goes on to explain, its reliability and commitment to customer service in particular has been truly valued by its clients. “Here at Robert’s 21st Century Design, we pride ourselves on our ability to meet deadlines and bring a client’s project in on budget. Additionally, by providing 100% customer satisfaction at very reasonable prices, we have found clients will use our services over and over again.” As a small busines each and every staff member has a role to play in the firm’s success, but as Robert points out, Stuart its Structural Engineer is vital to the business. “To support the business, Stuart ensures that buildings and other structures are safely constructed, while working in close partnership with Stephen Newbold, our architect.” Recently, the firm completed one of its biggest projects to date with the construction of Zither House, which Robert discusses further here. “Based in Hertfordshire, Zither House is a house on four levels covering 800 sqm, offering a modern design. The client had a vision, and with the expertise of our architects and engineers, plus the hard work from our building team, we managed to complete the project successfully and on time.” Brining the interview to a close, Robert comments on the firm’s future prospects as we look ahead to 2021 and beyond. “Moving forward, we expect to remain busy after the construction industry was briefly brought to a halt following the outbreak of COVID-19.
