83 | Q1 2021 Sep20464 Life Of The Party Founded in 2014, Wonkydog Productions is a wedding and private event production company taking care of all aspects from decor and styling to lighting and sound. Having recently found success in the Southern Enterprise Awards 2020, we got in touch with Danny Rose to find out more about one of the best private event production companies available in the industry today. With a great eye for detail and creativity, Wonkydog Productions are able to offer guidance and suggest themes to help create the atmosphere its clients demand at their special event. Going into further detail, Danny begins by providing us with a brief overview of the firm and offers more insight into some of its specialisms. “After working as an in-house production team for a Somerset wedding and party venue called Sparkford Hall, we began to cover private parties and weddings all over the UK and create festival venues. In addition to decor and lighting, we are highly skilled in photography, production management, floral design, and location sourcing amongst other areas.” The private event production industry can often be a challenging one to operate in, however as Danny goes on to explain, its quality of service and client approach has enabled the firm to keep its closest competitors at bay. “Having built up a plethora of contacts over many years, we have been very fortunate to work with exclusive VIP guests, corporate clients and wedding couples all with very different expectations. However, we always give the same level of service and delivery regardless of the requirements or budget. Providing our clients with peace of mind is very important, so we make sure you can relax in the knowledge that everything is taken care of, down to the very last detail.” The outbreak of COVID-19 has of course caused major disruption to the events industry, however as Danny points out, there will be plenty of opportunities for the firm to take advantage of once lockdown restrictions are lifted. “Like most businesses, the pandemic has created a very challenging scenario for us here at Wonkydog. The art of creating social gatherings is the arch nemesis of social distancing, so we are currently traversing our way through current guidelines. As a result of the global pandemic, we expect to see more intimate gatherings, but considering our clients would have missed out on so many events last summer, we are very confident of surviving”. Looking ahead to what the future holds for the firm, Danny is keen to share some of the exciting plans which lie in the pipeline for Wonkydog Productions for the remainder of 2021 and beyond. “Moving forward, we plan to consolidate our position as a bespoke party and events organiser by continuing to solidify our relationships with the venues we work with, and the clients we have already initiated projects with. Due to the backlog of celebrations that will need to be rescheduled, these are very exciting and busy times for us here at Wonkydog Productions.
