We find out more from the firm’s Founder, Andy Broughton, in the wake of it being awarded this Northern Enterprise Award 2021. Established in 2017, the initial idea for the BrandLink Golf company evolved via Founder Andy Broughton’s friendship with former German number one and Solheim Cup winner, Elisabeth Esterl, and PGA Club Professional, Neil Webb. Today, the firm sells a vast array of golf clubs, equipment and accessories from only top-quality brands, including Procaddie, Pitchfix, Nilsson Golf and Kannaway. BrandLink Golf has three main areas of activity within the golfing sector, including organising corporate and charity golf days; online product and equipment sales direct to the public; and suppliers of equipment and product directly to golf clubs, Andy tells us a little more about what it is that sets the firm aside from competitors. “Excellence in customer service and attention to detail is what helps us to create bespoke golf days for each individual company or charity,” he explains. “Hence the majority of our clients are through personal referrals.” During lockdown, golf courses were forced to close which meant that all events were cancelled. Therefore, Andy and the team had to look at ways to increase their online product offering to take advantage of the huge increase in internet shopping that took place during the pandemic. “We also identified the growing demand for customised products and became the exclusive UK partner for PROCADDIE, a UK designed and built premium electric golf trolley that can be specially customised to your favourite sports team or company branding,” Andy adds. With the challenges of the last two years, BrandLink’s focus switched once lockdown ended to supporting local charities with much needed fundraising efforts through its expertise in the organisation of golf days.
