65 | Q2 2021 Oct20504 Equestrian Centre of the Year – Lincolnshire At Field Farm, your horse will be treated like one of the family and so will you! An almost derelict former dairy farm has been taken and transformed into a superb rural destination for the whole family. Located between Mumby and Hogsthorpe on the East Coast of Lincolnshire, Field Farm is set in over 60 acres and benefits from being a little over a mile from the nearest beach. Field Farm has been designed to ensure that visitors get the very best from their time there. From only £25, they have access to superb stabling, indoor and outdoor sand schools, jumping paddock, 1.2 mile cross country course, incredible off-road hacking, and of course the beach! With Field Farm being situated in its beautiful coastal location, horse owners who dream of cantering down a sandy beach – wind in their hair, the scent and faint taste of the salty waves, freedom to ride safely with no cars or traffic – need look no further as there is no re-boxing or transport required to get to the beach. Wake up, breakfast, tack up, and away you go! Whilst visitors’ horses relax in their stables, there are numerous options for overnight accommodation for owners who wish to stay longer than a day. Cottages, camping, glamping, and caravans, there is plenty of choice in terms of places to stay; serene destinations where guests can switch off from the outside world and relax after a day of thrilling horse riding activities. In terms of horse accommodation, the Livery Yard consists of well-lit, well-ventilated American barns fitted with large IAE internal stables, all with sliding doors, integrated feed bins and hay racks. Also, there are large, secure tack rooms fully equipped with shelves and saddle-bridle racks; livery options of DIY, art or full livery; private paddocks (limited availability); and a secure, enclosed yard area. Additionally, Field Farm has developed a former drainage dyke to create a two-acre lake for fishing enthusiasts, stocked with almost 6,000 roach, rudd, bream, carp (22lb plus!) and tench. The fishing lake has been sympathetically planted to create a haven for wildlife. It is available for use via a day ticket and can also be group booked for matches if required. Other activities at Field Farm include walking, cycling, and nightlife. The farm is far enough away from the traditional East Coast holiday destinations to offer peace and tranquillity, yet close enough to be visited if guests wish to. Butlins in Skegness is approx. 10 miles away; Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells is approx. seven miles away; the historic market town of Louth is approx. 17 miles away; and Lincoln for vibrant shopping, the cathedral and market is approx. 45 miles away. Indeed, Field Farm is the perfect location for horse lovers to take a break from the stresses of everyday life and embrace the beauty of the Lincolnshire surroundings, whether they just want to spend a day, a weekend, or a week or two. Previous visitors can’t get enough of Field Farm, with testimonials saying they “can’t recommend this place enough”, “feeling so welcomed and relaxed”, “horsey heaven facilities on your doorstep”, “so clean, tidy and great, relaxed, helpful atmosphere”, and “we will be back!” Company: Field Farm Equestrian Ltd Contact: Danielle Robinson Website: www.field-farm.net
