The family have farmed at Blairmains Farm for an extraordinary six generations. Taking time to provide us with a detailed overview of the fine establishment, is Margaret Filshie who reveals more about the exceptional services they provide. Picturesque Views and Delicious Food Opening their doors in 2001, Coffee Bothy established themselves as not only as the place to buy all sorts of wholesome Scottish produce, but also as a popular Coffee Shop. With magnificent scenery and outstanding historic sites within a 10-minute drive of The Coffee Bothy, their loyal customers love coming to enjoy the views, whilst having lunch or coffee with a scrumptious selection of cakes. Beginning the interview, Margaret goes into further detail about Coffee Bothy’s mission and how the team ensure that they achieve it. “Here at Coffee Bothy, we are a family business with strong family values. As a whole, we aim to constantly strive to deliver the best possible product together with great service. Menus change with the season, as such we use as much local and Scottish produce as possible. By having these high standards, it has helped us to constantly that ensure we are driving forward, ensuring that the business and our staff have a healthy future.” When you enter Coffee Bothy, you are greeted with a warm Scottish welcome, accompanied with great service and excellent food. Reasons such as this are why Coffee Bothy were selected in SME News’ UK Enterprise Awards, where they were righteously awarded the accolade Family Run Café of the Year 2018 – Scotland. When discussing the win, Margaret is keen to highlight what the award means, as well as touching on the wonderful staff who are dedicated to meeting and delivering the outstanding service that Coffee Bothy is renowned for providing. “We were delighted to be chosen - particularly for our fabulous staff, who work tirelessly to ensure that we deliver the best customer service and food in the area. “In keeping with traditional farming culture, we have extended family and the younger generation working within our business. Also, our family values are shared with our staff, many whom have worked with us since our inception.” Currently, Scotland is enjoying a significant rise in tourism. In addition to this, Scotland has outperformed the rest of the UK attracting visitors for the sixth year running. As such, both Central Scotland and The Coffee Bothy have benefited greatly from this. Moving forward, Margaret signs off by revealing what plans lie in the pipeline for Coffee Bothy. “Looking ahead to what the future holds, we will be constantly innovating. We are currently looking at plans to extend the farm shop and Coffee Bothy to provide an even better visit for our customers.” UKE18163
