Established in 2002, by Bonnie Lowson, Managing Director, who had developed skills from an early age in the shipyards, Clyde Corrosion Control Ltd builds on these capabilities with a variety of projects both large and small. Since inception, the business has flourished and quickly developed expertise in the coating process both blasting and sophisticated coating systems. Together, the in-house facilities and on-site capabilities blossomed through drive and enthusiasm provided by Bonnie and her loyal team, who nurtured their expertise through a series of ever more demanding projects to become the biggest blasting and painting company in Scotland’s central belt. To ensure excellence for clients, all of CCC’s employees are Norsok approved applicators and the business employs two full time Nace 2 Paint Inspectors. The company has ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditations and striving towards 14001. Recently, CCC has expanded thanks to a £200,000 investment on a second state of the art blast machine, which is capable of handling much larger fabrications and components. To accommodate this, the firm now operates out of two paint halls with a floor area of 36000sqft in each bay. Thanks to this development CCC are now processing 50 tonnes of steel per day, enabling the company to pitch for more lucrative business across new and existing markets. Turnover has risen by 15% rise so far and headcount has increased from 8 – 12 people, including Bonnie’s sons, 17-year- old Sean and 21-year-old Jamie, who are learning the business from base level. Ultimately, this has supported strong positive growth for the firm.
