Pineapple Recruitment (PR) is a Bournemouth-based recruitment agency, specialising in a tailormade service, for both candidates and businesses alike. Understanding that a large part of job longevity is culture fit, PR strives to learn about its clients’ working environments, and takes the time to get to know each of its candidates fully. “Our mission is to place long term candidates in roles they love - unlike most companies, we’re not looking for repeat business!” enthuses Marc Linley, the firm’s Co-Founder and General Manager. “We believe that there is no one-size- fits-all approach to recruitment, and never settle for less than outstanding. We also try to always promote growth, whether it’s within our own organisation, our business partners’, or the career of an individual. At Pineapple Recruitment, we share everything, from knowledge and expertise to challenges and achievements.” The thing that really makes PR stand out from the competition is its bespoke service. There is rarely an easy path to finding your dream job, and it takes a lot of work and a lot of time. That’s why PR takes the time to learn more about its candidates, from their skills and qualifications to their career aspirations. The firm will discuss the candidate’s priorities in terms of things like salary, commute time, and getting the best work-life balance, to ensure a perfect fit is made each and every time. The company founders did not start out as recruitment consultants, instead they ran an award-winning financial business, which they were often recruiting for. PR launched in an incredibly challenging time - right at the start of a global pandemic. So why did it choose to start under such circumstances? We also felt that, as recruitment is a fast-paced and competitive industry at the best of times, if we could successfully launch under such circumstances, then anything was possible!” Since restrictions have been lifted, Marc and the team have found that the job market is slowly starting to open back up. Candidates have been hesitant to leave their current employer in times of uncertainty, even if they didn’t enjoy their job, but PR is now beginning to see a shift, with more people looking for a better job opportunity. “Companies are starting to recruit more staff too, focusing on business growth rather than simply keeping their heads above the water.” While the culture at Pineapple Recruitment is all about growth, the firm also likes to have fun. As its pun-filled website can attest, Marc and the team like to keep things fresh and interesting! “In terms of hiring internally, we love people with outstanding interpersonal skills,” he explains. “Most of what we do centres around getting to know our clients and candidates, so that we can meet (and hopefully exceed) all their requirements.” Recently, the firm was bestowed with the prestigious accolade of Most Trusted Recruitment Company 2021 in the Southern Enterprise Awards, and it seems that the future is looking very bright indeed for PR. As we also have a lot of experience placing long term candidates in notoriously high turnover roles, such as call centre agents and customer service staff, we’d also like to tackle even more challenging placements!
