[email protected] Website: www.safe-speed.com The Award Winning Safe-Speed Community Safety System was developed after the emergence of growing frustration from local communities regarding constantly increasing speeds of vehicles in and around their homes. Smaller communities across the UK are seeing increased traffic volumes and higher vehicle speeds as the number of vehicles on our roads continues to rise. With many vehicles trying to find alternate routes to overcome motorway congestion, many communities have safety concerns with speeding vehicles using their local roads as a through route without any concern for residents. Such concerns have led to the development of the Safe-Speed system which supports the identification of traffic volume levels and the speeds of passing vehicles. The Safe-Speed system has a clear and simple process to support local communities in analysing traffic behaviour to provide clear data to support safety concerns. The system follows this process to offer in-depth analysis: • Identifies speed with the use of a high- quality Spot-Speed Radar • Sends all details to the bespoke software for record and analysis • Anonymises all data to ensure privacy until any relevant authorities request raw data • Data is analysed with reports and statistics made available to system administrators The system has been developed using leading technology to ensure the highest performance, quality and reliability. The market leading ANPR camera included within the system is used by Police Forces in the UK and other countries throughout the world. Offering vehicle plate captures across both lanes of traffic and integration with a high-performance radar, ensures vehicle identification and speed are combined to give in-depth data in seconds. Through effective integration, this information is transferred to the bespoke Safe-Speed software which displays all data for real-time reference. The software offers a multitude of analysis tools which can be configured to meet the specific needs of local communities. These include black lists for suspicious vehicles, speed parameters to show vehicles over your chosen limit, repeat Best Community Safety Technology – UK offenders, traffic volume by day, week, month and statistical analysis to show vehicle behaviour over chosen periods of time. These are just examples of the tools available through the system, but greater analysis can be used to refine data to community needs. The Safe-Speed system has supported local communities in the UK to validate safety concerns as well as provide quantified data to support potential infrastructure changes or request support form local authorities. The increase in vehicles on the road as well as the impatience and ignorance of some drivers should not create Sep21813
