KJM is Fleet’s longest-standing award-winning hairdressing salon and is entirely proud of its heritage and presence on the high street. The salon has four core values stated as honesty, excellence, passion, and consistency, and they are the backbone and ethos of the entire salon and team. KJM is an extremely friendly, approachable salon with a loyal and supportive clientele. The salon listens to its clients and offers the services they need whilst adapting to their requirements, fashion trends, budgets, and time restraints. Kerry Mather, the founder of KJM, states, “Our salon is flexible and can accommodate every level. Our four core values drive the salon and guide our team through all its decisions. We’re extremely dedicated and dependable as there is nothing that is most important to us than our clients and our fellow members of staff.” The salon boasts a stunning contemporary environment to relax and enjoy and is ideally situated inside The Hart Centre between Waitrose and the banks. Customers also benefit from never needing umbrellas or hats to protect their beautifully finished hair as their journey from the salon to the Centre’s multi-storey car park is entirely free from exposure to the elements. What sets KJM salon apart from its competitors is its dedicated team members. Kerry explains, “KJM keeps its staff for years, which builds loyalty and trust within its clients. That is not an exaggeration! 40% of our team has been in the salon for over ten years.” Additionally, KJM offers flexible working hours to the team, so they are always happy with an excellent work-life balance. However, recently they required stringent Covid-19 safety measures in a safe, comfortable, and professional salon. Kerry explains, “We are a powerful team (of 20) who love working together and look after each other as well as our customers.
