Aug22313 Most Innovative Independent HR Consultancy 2022 Providing rounded, flexible and culturally relevant outsourced HR, people and talent solutions for London and the south, The People Project is an HR consultancy with a passion for both strategic and operational elements of the business. We find out more from the company Founder in the wake of it being recognised in the Southern Enterprise Awards 2022. In a nutshell, The People Project provides commercially minded HR services to companies of all shapes and sizes, on an as needed basis. This doesn’t necessarily mean it is for companies who do not already have inhouse HR, The People Project are often an extension to an existing people team for flexible, go-to, ad hoc HR, whether that’s additional support or specific expertise, partnering with businesses however and whenever it is needed. The People Project work with a variety of different clients, across a wide range of sectors, from start-ups, scale-ups to established firms, so whether part of a network, agency or an independent company, The People Project seamlessly adapt and completely understand how the differing stages of the business cycle impact the needs of the business. “Our values speak for themselves and are centred on collaboration, versatility and relevance,” explains Natalie Richardson, the Founder and Principal HR Consultant. “Our core aim is to support businesses with their everyday HR needs. I am passionate about quickly and expertly bringing clients uncomplicated, culturally relevant, advice and support.” With 17 years industry experience, a BA and an MA in HR and as a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Natalie has worked across start-ups to global companies. Over the years, The People Project has built a strong network across a broad client base, including the fast paced communications, PR, creative, marketing, digital, events and advertising sectors as well as venture capital, retail, charity, environmental, property, manufacturing, public sector, and fast growing health. “Our services involve all generalist HR activities, which can be extensive and multifaceted” continues Natalie. “Whether that is assistance with managing a disciplinary, a grievance, an investigation, a restructure, support through TUPE, a merger or acquisition, advice on maternity, paternity and shared parental leave, contracts of employment, employee handbooks, policies through to consultancy on a particular project.” We work across all elements of strategic or operational HR. With our experience, you get adaptable and instant assistance. We know exactly what questions to ask to help business get from A to B quickly and effectively. I’m proud of how we can seamlessly transition into a business as if we have been there all along. As the firm is not a large operation, but instead a small, close-knit team, it does not look for long contracts and retainers. Instead, its approach is to build authentic and long-term relationships naturally, based on flexibility and the ability to adapt to each individual business quickly and expertly. This ensures any support that is provided is bespoke and culturally relevant. Clients can pay as they go and will always speak to the same person, meaning that a relationship built on trust and understanding can easily develop. “When you need professional advice it can’t be textbook, you need very experienced, very adaptable expertise that can quickly pivot to your own commercial realities,” Natalie elaborates, speaking of the company’s USPs. “Any support needs to fit the culture of your company. We are personal, outsourced HR – whenever you need it. We are here when needed but without the permanent price tag. Sensible advice, down to earth support which is completely business relevant.” The Covid-19 pandemic of course, spearheaded hybrid working and this continues to demand evolving policies and practices. Businesses continue to need adjustments as the full impact unfolds and this is still challenging to navigate. Hybrid working has highlighted a new set of challenges (and opportunities) that need to be worked through for long term success. Being based centrally in the south is the perfect location for Natalie and the team particularly given the aftermath of the pandemic, where several clients and employees started to operate outside of their London hub. Several companies are working across multi sites, taking advantage of lesser overheads outside of the capital, whilst both diversifying the employee reach and providing greater hybrid opportunities for all. “The diversity and depth to what we do enthuses us every day,” expresses Natalie. “I love working with clients to achieve positive outcomes. I’m solutions focused and an astute problem solver, clients trust me to just get it done and in turn this ensures clients can simply get on with what they do best.” Recently, in recognition of the team’s dedication and hard work, The People Project was bestowed with the prestigious title of Most Innovative Independent HR Consultancy 2022, something which Natalie is very proud of. “Since setting up in 2018, the business has gone from strength-tostrength and we are proud that all our business is through word of mouth and personal recommendations. We will continue to grow, continue to build long lasting client relationships and doing what we love; partnering and supporting businesses with their HR & people operations however big or small – and whatever the project.” Contact: Natalie Richardson Company: The People Project HR Consulting Web Address: www.thepeopleprojecthrconsulting.co.uk
