Southern Enterprise Awards 2023

SME News Southern Enterprise Awards 2023 | 82 Blinds & Shutters Supplier of the Year 2023 - Hampshire Starting as a husband-and-wife team in 2018, Final Touch has become a standout company within the industry through a dedication to meeting – and exceeding – all expectations. One half of this founding team, Adam Carter, spoke to SME News on the company’s unique offerings on the back of its well-deserved recognition in the Southern Enterprise Awards 2023. Today, five years on, the company has built a client base through the supply and installation of blinds, shutters, and awnings across Hampshire, with all signs pointing to further growth and enduring success in turn. After leaving the Royal Navy, Adam sought to return to his previous passion for home design alongside his wife, and so Final Touch was born. Adam begins, “Our clients range from typical domestic customers looking for high quality blinds to high-end shaped gable blind systems or developers wanting blinds fully integrated within home automation. Our main goal is to provide premium quality products with an exceptional customer service.” Driven by this passion, the company has become especially known for its quality craftmanship, with the whole team taking pride in delivering unquestionably high-quality shutters, blinds, and awnings that “stand the test of time”. Partnering this with a local focus and exceptional quality of service that matches the quality of product has proven to be a potent combination for Final Touch, as Adam continues to explain. “We go above and beyond to ensure our customers are satisfied, from the initial consultation to installation and aftercare. We’re always on the lookout for the latest trends and technologies in the blinds and shutters industry to offer our customers the best. Finally, every window is unique, and so are our solutions. We offer custom-fit products tailored to each customer’s specific needs. These core values have remained solid throughout our operation, guiding us in every decision we make and ensuring that we consistently deliver the best for our customers.” But from the very beginning, there’s been a dynamic that has proven to be invaluable for Final Touch – and that is its family-run nature. This has defined the internal culture of the company, and helped inform how each member of the team interacts with clients too. All that is to say, Final Touch looks to build robust, long-lasting partnerships with clients. And that has certainly paid off for the team in the long-run. “We have a very friendly culture within Final Touch and like to get to know our customers personally. We value feedback more than anything and are constantly looking for ways to evolve. This lets us tailor our service to suit our customers in any way. By default, we predominantly recruit younger people and we really enjoy cultivating talent. This really supports the local skillset and enables us to keep our specific ways of working inherent within the company.” With all these components in place, the future of Final Touch is, as Adam puts it, “largely about maintaining consistency” – The emphasis is on steady, measured progress and ensuring any growth is organic and sustainable. In Hampshire, the company has built an almost peerless reputation in the space, and Adam hopes to keep that status for years to come. “Specialising in Gable windows, Blindspace, and Motorised Blinds, we are looking more and more to focus on home automation systems such as Control 4 or Loxone. We are also looking to expand our reach with architects to get shading integrated more within the construction phase rather than an afterthought at the end.
