Southern Enterprise Awards 2025

Southern Enterprise Awards 2025/ 10 Estate Agency of the Year 2025 – Hampshire Founded in 2006 by the duo of Steve White and Jason Guard, the eponymous White & Guard estate agents today comprises four branches in Hampshire – one in each of Bishop’s Waltham, Fair Oak, Hedge End, and Bitterne, respectively – and has carved out a name for itself as one of the UK’s leading agencies. Blending experience with a real focus on results, White & Guard’s team of more than 30 talented individuals offer a stellar range of properties across their sales and lettings divisions. On the back of its recognition with this award, we caught up with Jason for more on its work. Whether a client is looking to sell their current home, find their next one, or track down the perfect rental for their particular needs, White & Guard can help. Going beyond just property and matching its clients to dream locations that fit their lifestyles, the agency boasts the widest range of properties in the area, as well as a team committed to filling each of them with the right individual, couple, or family. There is an important distinction between a house and a home, and this is something White & Guard helps every client to realise. This is something that Steve and Jason – both former directors of corporate agencies within the real estate industry – were passionate about since day one, when they put their heads together and opened the first White & Guard office in the former village police station in Bishop’s Waltham. The knowledge these business partners had of how to operate a business in this space and do things differently ensured that their company would stand out from the competition and create impact, both of which it has been doing for nearly 20 years. “White & Guard is a community of property professionals that provide the very best standards and are prepared to prove it.” – Phil Spencer Opening its second office in 2009, this time in Hedge End, White & Guard was quickly having to meet the demand of a client base that was developing rapidly, with it now attracting the homes of property owners across the region and beyond. Team expansions would then take up much of the next few years, with the company’s ongoing evolution helping it to establish itself as one of the most comprehensive local businesses around, one that takes pride in what does and which is ingrained within the community that it serves so well. By the time it opened offices three and four in 2021, White & Guard was a revered name in this part of Hampshire, and these new locations in Bitterne and Fair Oak brought further opportunities for the company to expand and secure new clients. At the same time, White & Guard was starting to see an increase in return clients who were either upsizing, downsizing, or buying a second property on the coast. Things brings us to the present, with the company’s new website recently launching to coincide with its upcoming 20th anniversary. Having explored a bit about the history of this leading, forwardthinking estate agency, it is time to really get stuck into what makes White & Guard such a standout in this region. First and foremost is its aforementioned team, with a choice selection of the most dedicated and capable individuals in this industry being spread across its four offices. Staff are picked by hand for both their local insights and property knowledge, and the culture running through the company goes beyond clinching a deal – it is about aspiring for happiness. Another key differentiator is in the way that White & Guard promotes its properties, with its video work in particular being something that clients adore and which gains massive traction when it comes to views and generating sales. Often, these start with an exterior drone shot, before the drone flies towards the door, which will swing open to reveal inside. From here, its Giraffe 360 camera takes over, with a comprehensive property tour complete with a 360-degree, non-fisheye walkthrough that captures every detail in stunning depth. “Of course, vendors love it when they see the final video, but just as importantly it helps create a lot of interest, leading to viewings and, in turn, sales. This, amongst several other initiatives, ensures that we both stand out and are as far removed from the competition as possible.” Further bolstering White & Guard’s standing is the fact that it has been a partner with the Relocation Agent Network since shortly after opening its doors, having enjoyed the perks membership to the UK’s premier relocation brings to the full over the years – even during the challenging times brought about as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This same year, White & Guard also continued its impressive streak of outstanding client feedback and receiving a number of industry awards, both of which are huge sources of pride. The streak continues to this day, and as Jason explained to us: “Each and every one of the awards that we won last year, the year before, and so on mean so very much to us. They show the high standards we adhere to here White & Guard, as well as underpinning just how much we all love what we do.” He continued: “Winning this 2025 Southern Enterprise Award 2025 is incredible. It is something we cherish and will sing about from the rooftops!” Of course, it is not all about awards for White & Guard, which instead revels in the fact that it is making a real difference in the lives of people throughout Hampshire, helping them to find the right property for them whilst also shining a spotlight on the area through the advice and stories it shares through its online journal. Its dedication to both the county and its people makes White & Guard Hampshire’s leading estate agent, and it is our pleasure to join the many who have championed it by naming it as such in this programme.
