Southern Enterprise Awards 2025

Established in 2015, Dapper & Suave designs and creates handmade accessories, including bow ties and pocket squares, with the intention of helping people express their unique style. Founders Rob Chadband and Jason Brett help customers who are looking for distinctive pieces for weddings, events, and everyday wear. Their vision is to empower them to celebrate their individuality through fashion that is colourful, inclusive, and fun. Now, as the business marks its tenth anniversary and celebrates its success within the Southern Enterprise Awards 2025, we speak to Rob and Jason to learn more. Best Online Men's Fashion Accessories Store 2025 “Our purpose is to create accessories that spark joy, celebrate individuality, and encourage self-expression,” Rob begins. “Our unique selling point lies in creating conversation-starting accessories that are bold, colourful, and unlike anything found on the high street. Each piece is handcrafted to reflect individuality and quality.” Since its inception, Dapper & Suave has been guided by core values of creativity, where every design tells a story; inclusivity, where fashion should be accessible and welcoming to all; authenticity, designing pieces that allow people to embrace who they truly are; and sustainability, prioritising responsible sourcing and long-lasting design. “Over time, we have placed greater emphasis on sustainability, ensuring that our reputation as an independent maker aligns with today’s conscious consumer,” says Rob. Indeed, the shift towards sustainable, handmade fashion is on the up, with Rob and Jason noticing how customers are increasingly valuing products that reflect their ethics and individuality. They have observed, locally, the thriving of independent makers and markets, with consumers actively supporting small creative businesses, due to their appreciation of the authenticity and craftmanship they bring to the fashion landscape. This is particularly through events such as those hosted by Rob and Jason’s creative pop-up shopping events arm, Curated by Dapper & Suave, which provides a platform for makers to showcase their work and connect directly with those who are shopping their products. “Our aim has always been more than creating accessories – it is about helping people feel colourful, expressive, and unapologetically themselves.” So, what is it like behind the scenes at Dapper & Suave? Jason reveals, “As co-founders, we work collaboratively, each contributing our own strengths in design, customer engagement, and business development. We foster a culture that is open, positive, and creative – values we want to shine through in our brand and our customer relationships.” In terms of making additions to the team, he shares, “We seek people who share our enthusiasm for individuality and inclusivity, and who can contribute to our vision of making stylish, sustainable accessories accessible to a wider audience.” Dapper & Suave continues to raise the bar in fresh, eco-friendly design and creation, doing so by remaining forward-looking, namely by keeping colour, print, and seasonal influences in mind; listening closely to customer feedback and adapting its offering accordingly; and drawing inspiration from art, culture, and fashion history. This approach ensures that it is recognised as a trusted independent fashion brand in the South of England, renowned for originality and longevity. This sets the business comfortably on the road towards a bright future, where its focus continues to be on strengthening its presence both in-person and online. Rob comments, “We want to balance the energy of pop-up shopping events, where people can experience our products firsthand, with a broader online reach across the UK and international markets.” Jason adds, “At the same time, we are continuing to expand our collections with fresh designs, layering creativity and originality into every season. “Looking further ahead, our goal for Dapper & Suave is to be known not only for our accessories, but also for the colour, joy, and individuality we inspire in everyone who wears them.” Company name: Dapper & Suave Contact name: Rob Chadband & Jason Brett Website: www.dapperandsuave.uk
