We invited Co-Owner Ian to tell us more about how the lodge works to achieve its calm and relaxing ambiance and offer guests a break from the stresses of modern life. exceptional hospitality, thanks to Owners Sue and Ian, who work hard to offer guests everything they could possibly need, as Ian is proud to highlight. “Having owned the Glenspean Lodge Hotel alongside my wife for the past 12 years, together we have put our heart and soul into this business wanting our guests to relax have good home-made food and a lovely clean room to sleep in, beautiful terraces where they can sit and enjoy our many birds and wildlife it truly is a beautiful place to stay. We believe our success comes from our personal hands on approach with our guests, we are there to see to there every need. In hospitality it is very important to us that our guests enjoy their holidays, because we know how much we look forward to our own. Being owned by hands-on owners makes a world of difference as we are there all the time things get sorted out straight away. Guests are made to feel special and not just a number, our slogan is “Enter as strangers, Leave as Friends” and people often say that’s how they feel and our repeat business is phenomenal.” To further support guests and ensure they get the most from their break, Ian and Sue employ a team of staff who are committed to providing guests with everything they could possibly need, as Ian explains. “Alongside myself and my wife, we have a small mainly local staff who look after our guests and support them. We are a very close team and work hard in all areas to look after our guests, friendliness, politeness and a willingness to help are all traits we look for in our staff. This ensures that every guest has a great time when they stay with us and enjoys their holiday.” Looking to the future, with staycations and domestic travel increasing in popularity the lodge looks set to remain as popular as ever, as Ian is proud to conclude. “Overall, we feel that the Highlands is a beautiful picturesque place to stay, with more and more people are visiting and being awed by the fantastic scenery. Originally, built in the 1880s as a private hunting lodge, for Laird Macintosh of Macintosh, the property has been sensitively added to over the years and extensively refurbished.
