To start, Mohamed Mohamud of On Site Security tells us a bit about his firm, offering greater insight into some of its specialisms. “Based upon our core values of compassion, teamwork and quality, we strive to provide protection and security to those in need through a wide variety of services that are tailored specifically for each one of our customers. Typically, we specialise in corporate security guards, construction site security, event security, industrial security and hotel security, among several other areas”. Competing in the security industry can often prove a challenging experience, however as Mohamed goes on to explain, the commitment of its staff members has enabled the firm to stand out from the crowd. “As a service provider, our main assets are our staff, who provide exceptional flexibility to accommodate last minute changes. If a colleague is off sick and we need replacements, my staff are eager to help. Moreover, to ensure they have the tools to do their jobs, we invest extensively in training and development”. Regarding the internal culture in place at On Site Security, much of the firm’s success can be attributed to its family oriented work culture, as Mohamed explains further. “Just like a family, if there are any differences of opinion or grievances, they are aired out before they become toxic. By resolving them as professionals, we ensure the company’s interests are always put first. Additionally, to check on the mental wellness of my team, I personally call each individual on a regular basis just so we can have a one to one chat. It sounds such a simple concept, but the feedback proves how powerful this level of care is to my team”. Despite the recent outbreak of COVID-19, the firm has managed to operate during what has been a really difficult time for the world as Mohamed elaborates further. “During the pandemic, staff and client safety has been our biggest priority. While following government guidelines, we have conducted regular risk assessments and introduced a COVID-19 standard operating procedure for our staff to strictly adhere to. Working closely with our clients, we have introduced new polices and new ways of working to help keep their staff and our guards safe. To enhance our position we have also provided additional support throughout the pandemic, including the introduction of cleaning services for all our clients at a discounted price. Finally, Mohamed shares some of the firm’s future plans as we look ahead to the remainder of 2021 and beyond. “Moving forward, we will be expanding due to the current growth we are experiencing.
