Following its well-deserved success in the UK Enterprise Awards 2021, we got in touch with Matthew Rann to find out more. Established in 2017, Portsmouth- based Annalise Jewellery Ltd is now visible through its handmade jewellery pieces that can be found on displays in leading photographers and independent print shops around the country. To start, Matthew, who works closely with Founder Annalise, provides a brief overview of the firm and offers more insight into its clientele. “From cufflinks to Pandora compatible charms, our jewellery can be made from simple engravings, photos of loved ones or your pet’s ashes. With a range of colours to choose from, clients are able to personalise their jewellery in whatever way they want”. Competing in the jewellery industry can often prove a challenging experience, however as Matthew goes on to explain, the firm are able to offer its clients a number of unique selling points. “Unlike many of our competitors who can take up to a month for delivery, we can deliver some of our items the next day. In addition, rather than sending your loved ones or pets ashes abroad to be made, we can make them for you”. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 many people have struggled to buy gifts like they normally would have done. Naturally then, in response to the pandemic, the firm has supported its clients in a number of ways, as Matthew explains further. “At the end of the checkout we added a free gift note option so people could have their order delivered straight to a loved one with the receipt removed and a gift note printed inside. This offering was very popular with our clients and ultimately it ensured we could help put a smile on people’s faces”. Finally, Matthew shares some of the firm’s plans for the future as we look ahead to the remainder of 2021 and beyond. “Moving forward, we plan to offer more variety in our products and improve our customer service wherever possible. Beyond that, we will also be upgrading our website to ensure our customers can personalise their items and view the changes live on the site”.
