In addition, it specialises in providing excellent self- contained properties and high-end HMO. Savoys refurbishes and manages properties across London and the home counties to provide high-quality homes for professional tenants and has developed the necessary experience, team and tools to effectively execute projects. The services it can offer include planning, project management, design and build, and property sourcing. Director, Malkit Purewal, talks us through the firm’s core values which very much put the customer at the centre of its business and focuses on building bespoke properties with the end user in mind. “Our ethos is centred on integrity, accountability, diligence, perseverance, and discipline,” he explains. “These values have got stronger since we established the business and we believe these will get even stronger moving forward.” Malkit has noticed trends emerging in the industry, such as people starting to move away from city centre living to more suburban areas, such as the home counties, which is a key area for Savoys as it focuses on locations which are within a 30-minute driving radius from its base in Uxbridge, West London. He has also experienced customers wanting a greater say in the demand for better quality properties than ever before. “Recently, we have found that landlords have not been investing in the upkeep of properties and have therefore struggled to find tenants,” he elaborates. “Whereas the better quality properties, which are kept in great condition, achieved much better rents than before. We have capitalised on this by ensuring our properties are the best on the market.” The internal culture at Savoys is relaxed but still very professional, with a strong emphasis on learning.
