Following its well-deserved success in the UK Enterprise Awards 2021, we got in touch with Director Harri Sivaneon to discover more about how they earned themselves the title of ‘Most Innovative Online Estate Agent Company 2021’. Based in South Wimbledon, TGL iEstates was launched by the Director of the business Vijayarajasingham Nirubasingham. Raised by a family who worked in building services themselves, Vijayarajasingham aspired to start his own building company from an early age. Upon leaving university, he started the company and grew it to become a place that could be relied upon for all matters within building services and real estate. Harri Sivaneon, the current director of TGL iEstates, provides a brief overview of the firm and offers more insight into some of its values. “As a company, our mission is to become our clients’ single source for all their property needs. This is achieved by creating long-term relationships with every single one of our clients, understanding and learning what each individual client requires to create a bespoke service. When we think of our clients, we consider them to be part of the family and that is what makes the relationships with everyone stronger. “Here at TGL iEstates, we value everything, however what we most value is integrity, meaning that we are consistently honest and genuine. Through a culture of teamwork and collaboration, we are committed to exceeding our clients’ expectations. Valuing opportunities at all times, at TGL iEstates we always have opportunities for our clients, whether it be about property or anything else, we are always looking for ways to help”. What typically differentiates TGL iEstates from the nearest competition is its level of pricing, as Harri goes on to explain. “Arguably our most unique selling point is our ability to beat any fees in our area or with any other company. By doing this, we can attract a larger clientele and provide them with our service at a cheaper price, making it beneficial to them”. As a team-oriented company, TGL iEstates is committed to equipping its team members with all the necessary training, as Harri points out. “Whilst paying close attention to every single detail, we make sure our agents are trained with everything they need to know and of course, we learn more and more each day. With property market knowledge changing day by day, we make sure we are always on top of it. When welcoming a new colleague, we always set examples of how we expect things to go, and they always go better than we think. However, it’s important to note we firmly believe in constructive criticism as it’s the best way to improve. In an open learning environment we can all learn something new!” Despite making great strides in a relatively short space of time, the recent outbreak of COVID-19 has presented many challenges to the firm, as Harri explains further. “As the country and practically the whole world went into lockdown, we had to work from home as best as we possibly could. As a company who relies on contact with people, this was obviously quite a challenging time for us. However, we pulled through and managed to hit all of our targets. With us now back in the office loving what we do, it’s certainly pleasing to know we can quickly adapt to any scenario at any time”. With the younger generation having such a big influence on what goes on in the world right now, you would be forgiven for thinking social media wouldn’t be for TGL iEstates. However, as Harri goes on to confirm, the firm decided to jump on the TikTok bandwagon. “TikTok, and other social media platforms are places that allow people to express themselves, promote, inform and bring awareness, so we decided to join in. Joining platforms like these is an amazing opportunity to get in touch with both the younger and older generation and make something fun, yet professional”. Finally, Harri discusses the main benefits of being a UK based business before outlining some of the firm’s future plans. “The UK is one of the best places to come to for amazing opportunities, there is something for people of all ages. Being located in London specifically means we are at the centre of tourism, thousands of people, and London’s bustling lifestyle. By having all of these amazing attributes, it’s always busy in the city even though we are not right in the centre. As we are situated right on the High Street in South Wimbledon, it’s the perfect location given there are always people walking by. Naturally, this gives us recognition as we are in plain sight and it’s easy to find us. Moving forward, we hope to become a household name in our community and to be the most trusted estate and property management agency in Wimbledon. Additionally, we hope to be able to provide the same services as bigger companies for a lower fee. As providing is what we do, we would love to get fully involved with charities to help them raise money. In terms of the environment, we want to become a carbon neutral business, as it will help our climate and us too. Lastly, we hope to soon have more properties on the market to enable us to attract a wider range of clients and facilitate our business growth”.
