19 | UK Enterprise Awards 2022 In today’s crowded business coaching industry, one company stands out. UK-based firm Improview Limited is on a mission to ‘improve the view of your world’. The HR and coaching company believes in creating environments that enable every individual to realise their potential. We speak to the company owner, Neil Mundell-Phipps, to find out more. In the corporate world, Neil MundellPhipps was having difficulty finding collaborators to help develop bespoke business solutions. Convinced he could offer a better service than what was already out there, with solutions that are routed in modern thinking and research, he set out to make it happen. In December 2014, following considerable research and personal development of his own, Neil founded Improview Limited. Since its inception, Improview has worked with businesses in the UK, throughout Europe, Canada and the Far East. The company serves clients across a diverse range of industries including manufacturing, travel, retail and logistics. For Improview, developing business relationships with its clients from that very first meeting is critical. The company endeavours to develop a collaborative partnership with every client from the outset that will endure through the delivery of the solution and beyond. Working with its clients as their consultancy partner, the company strives to ‘keep it simple’. Neil tells us, “We treat every client as unique because they are. They’ve each got their own culture, values, beliefs and history, and that’s important to us. We ensure we take the time to discover and understand them in order to build open and honest partnerships. Working together we explore and uncover the most effective solutions to meet their needs.” Offering fully bespoke solutions that include (but not exhaustive) coaching and training in leadership and management, team performance and individual coaching, the team at Improview bring a wealth of industry experience to the table. Neil explains, “We’ve designed and delivered all sorts of solutions. Induction programmes, team building, board effectiveness, and change programmes to name but a few. We also have accredited coaches and in personality & psychometric profiling that supports individual development.” Improview can also provide a selection of ‘off-the-peg’ training sessions including ‘Effective Time & Task Management’, ‘Coaching for Performance’ and ‘Managing Performance Conversations’. Neil, whose background in the field of HR, talent, and learning & development spans over 20 years, is passionate about human engagement, happiness and making emotional connections, because humans are both biological and psychological beings. He doesn’t believe in a firm separation between our personal and business selves. But rather, by using Improview’s ITP principle, that’s Inform, Transform, Perform, that it is possible to unlock each individual’s true potential, both personally and professionally. Neil has researched, designed and delivers the company’s unique Kintsugi - Self-Mastery workshop. Based on the concept of the centuriesold Japanese art of fixing pottery with visible ‘golden joinery’, the workshop encourages participants to ‘Embrace your imperfections and find happiness by showing your authentic and beautiful seams of development and growth’. When asked about recent trends in the industry and developments at Improview, Neil tells us, “Over the last two years we have developed and are able to offer a truly holistic blended learning approach. We can and have tailored interventions to suit all types of learners and businesses on a global level. This has enabled us to increase capacity and participation.” During the last two years, Improview has introduced and hosts a monthly virtual networking group, named FIKA. To date over 26 FIKA’s have taken place and generated a FIKA tribe of over 40 people. These are unique as there is no agenda, no selling, no actions. Just a truly amazing and unique space to share and support yourself and others, in a crowded world of noise. They are always happy to have new tribes people join. Looking to the future, Improview will be enjoying the benefits that technology is bringing to the industry, Neil concludes, “As we see technology break down communication boundaries, we will increase the number of people we can reach. This will help create a life-long learning and continuous development culture that becomes the norm.” Learning really has been given an opportunity to be in the hands of the learner, made more fun and more exciting.
