The much-needed donations are used to provide food, grooming, vaccinations and efforts to rehome animals in need. The story of Cooper and Gracie started with one dog. We speak to company founder, Craig Roberts, to find out more. In 2015 when Craig Roberts decided to get a dog, he fell in love with a Hungarian Viszla, Tilba. He says, “She’s changed my life in many ways. I deliberately got a Viszla because I wanted to spend more time outside. She’s my best mate.” After a while, Craig started to notice issues with Tilba’s skin. She was suffering from a painful and itchy skin condition. Prescribed medicines didn’t work and Craig worried about the chemicals they contained. Deciding to look for a natural alternative, he researched plant-based remedies and, with finding a solution, the idea for Cooper and Gracie was born. Craig, who runs Cooper and Gracie with his partner, Lydia, tells us, “Our products are designed to solve everyday problems and let people get on with enjoying life with their pets. We are expanding our range all the time so that we can support our clients and their pets whenever they need us. This natural cream features built-in SPF protection. There’s a purple wound spray containing lavender, citrus, and aloe vera that soothes wounds, burns, and rashes too. The company’s version of flea and tick repellent is refreshingly free from harmful chemicals – it’s safe, not only for the dogs themselves but also for the family and the environment. Recently, Cooper and Gracie introduced a range of supplements for dogs and cats. The wheatfree, tasty supplements target areas such as joint health, digestion and urinary function. For every product purchased the company donates a percentage of its proceeds to rescue centres both here and abroad.
