As our AI Tech Start-Up of the Year, Genysys Engine has become a standout entity in this new, but still colossal and highly competitive, industry. We spoke with CEO and Co-Founder Emma McClenaghan to find out more. Based out of Dromara in Northern Ireland, Genysys Engine endeavours to empower small business owners to match the pace of larger corporations by allowing them to position their company in front of their target audience. The core of this offering is an intelligent website assistant named Wally who helps create and manage websites with ease, as Emma explains in more detail. “Wally carries out the same tasks and processes as a team of designers, developers and marketers but in a quicker time frame and with less overhead. Wally becomes more intelligent and capable when exposed to new information about the business, audience and competitors to adapt and evolve with the business to meet their goals. This is designed to help small and micro businesses that make up the heart of our community - dance teachers, photographers, florists, tour guides etc. Our clients want to focus on what they care about - their business and their customers.” “Genysys Engine’s technology is flexible. We have applied our technology to the niche market of website design and development but the technology can be applied to web application development, AR applications and VR applications with further research and development.” Ultimately, Genysys Engine’s mission is to remove the barriers between business owners and the latest technology, helping to level the playing field, and giving everyone the freedom and opportunity to innovate at their own pace. We listened and created the feature in just 8 hours.” It’s clear from the outset that Genysys Engine is proactively seeking constant improvement, and takes customer feedback as a primary means of seeking that improvement. After all, the customer experience makes or breaks Wally’s utility. “We aim to deliver transparency to all customers, clients can ask their website assistant to explain results, show them where they rank in a table format and simply ask what a word means. We encourage critical thinking and encourage creative thinking. We collaborate with partners and tools our customers want to use. If we do not have a functionality or an integration our clients require, we will build it for them for no additional cost,” Emma adds. “Our unique selling point is we build highly performant websites that work alongside the customer to reach their goals.” As for its effectiveness, the company’s success acts as a potent testament. Over the last 11 months, the company’s clients have created new jobs, opened up new premises, entered new markets, and created new products. But, Genysys Engine is just getting started. Over the next two years, the team are looking to expand further, as Emma concludes in her closing comments. “We are looking at incorporating technology to create the ‘brick-and-mortar’ sales experience online. Websites will build themselves in live time based on each individual user and their goals. If a website visitor is 12 or 80, the website will show different versions of website to each individual user and their preferences, goals, reading age, tone etc. We also plan to roll out a slimmed-lined version of our website platform to create website landing pages from sms messages.
