UK Enterprise Awards 2023

183 | UK Enterprise Awards 2023 May23115 Best Interior Design Consultants 2023 - Essex The world of interior design is one which can be overwhelming and pompous. Not so with the team from Ginger and Green. Their zeal for good design and passion for new ideas has brought them stunning success. Named for their success in the UK Enterprise Awards, we caught up with Zoe to find out more. “Who knew having interior designers could be so refreshing and fun!” laughs Zoe. Since opening their doors, Ginger and Green have built an incredible firm with a reputation that has to be seen to be believed. They have worked on some amazing projects, drawing on years of experience to curate spaces that are unique in terms of comfort and practicality. “We have had a fantastic few years, and since opening our showroom in Epping, after our success in North London, we have been flooded with some incredible projects and clients,” Zoe tells us. “Having such trusting and creatively open clients has given us the freedom to develop some beautiful designs which speak of the ethos of our vision for Ginger and Green and the exciting future that lies ahead.” The future is something that is built on many past success, with Mitch and Zoe building a closeness in design ethos that has guaranteed success. “Our ability to envision a space practically and athletically is acutely aligned,” she tells us. “We have all the strings to our bow to make a symphony of soulful design.” But what sets Ginger and Green apart from the crowd? “Ginger and Green have been built on nothing other than passion, drive and hard work,” says Zoe. “Our design style is forward thinking and bespoke. We don’t pride ourselves on one style or look to define us. The way in which we approach any project is brief led, people led, and soul led design.” It’s little surprise that the team like to feel out a space when a project starts, looking for those spots which stand apart as something a little different. “We then delve into the mind of the people who habituate the space and build a creative vision around them,” Zoe tells us. The approach, putting people first and building around them and what they have, is the same regardless of the project. The aim has always been to transform somewhere to spectacular vision and authenticity. “We love to play with drama in texture,” Zoe says. “Tactile surfaces which allow exploration of the senses and acoustic softness is our thing. The progression of products available now leaves all our designs feeling up to date and relevant yet our love for anything historic, period or listed leaves us with a sympathetic taste.” The desire to move away from stuffy and stiff approaches to interior design has become more pronounced since the COVID-19 pandemic. People have re-embraced liveable spaces, and that’s where Ginger and Green excels. “It is about changing the way design is approached,” Zoe considers. “It is about really sourcing a good product over good branding. People we work with in the industry is very important to us. We want to create designs which are truly designed for the person and not repeated from one job to the next. This makes it a huge privilege to be involved in the projects.” People turn to Ginger and Green because their approach incorporates architectural design, build and project management with full time design led decision making. “This whole package allows us to not miss an opportunity,” Zoe enthuses. “We evolve as we build a concept with a client and the results are spectacular to watch come to life. We have a roster of trades and architects to take care of the project from the first brick to the last light bulb!” Such care and attention to detail, always exploring the options, is why the team are renowned as one of the best interior designers in the UK. But they’re not settling down yet. “We are already thinking of the future and what this looks like,” says Zoe. “With mine and Mitch’s energy and drive who knows what’s possible!” Who knows indeed? We can’t wait to find out in the coming months and years. Contact Details Company: Ginger and Green Email: [email protected]
