In the wake of being recognised in the UK Enterprise Awards, we find out more about the organisation from its founder and how it is dedicated to changing lives creatively every day with its inclusive, innovative acting workshops, drama clubs, theatre training, and team building. Led by Founder and Artistic Director Helen Kenworthy, RYTC Creatives CIC is the home of inspiring arts and creative drama therapy for adults and children. The Warwick-based business serves people across Warwickshire, the West Midlands, and even internationally through its remote offering, and is dedicated to transforming lives through a collection of inclusive and creative services. From innovative acting workshops and drama clubs to creative careers training and team building, RYTC’s talented team use these creative mediums to help participants grow in confidence and happiness – delivering activities that build emotional resilience, develop practical life skills, and meet a range of specific needs. Many of RYTC’s participants have been diagnosed with mental health issues alongside special educational needs, meaning its team is consistently adapting to ensure the activities meet their unique requirements. RYTC’s ever-expanding range of in-person and online services is delivered through a quality network of partnerships which include schools, the NHS, and businesses. For the former, a creative yet supportive environment is developed by Helen and her team – helping young people develop their talents through live tour shows, workshops, projects, and courses, and a specialist service called Play in a Day, Week, or Term. Here, children can choose a specific topic of interest or issue they want to address, and RYTC provides a safe environment where they can explore it through creative means. For adults, the company crafts tailored shows and workshops to deliver in businesses, alongside team building initiatives and training for employees who desire to improve their public speaking abilities, plus creative arts training and job opportunities. Partnered businesses can also get involved in their local communities through RYTC’s adopt-a-student and adopt-a-school initiatives. The company’s team of dedicated mentors truly thrive on engaging individuals and families across local communities and bringing them together. Through RYTC, communities can embark upon personalised storytelling projects that have been crafted for the needs of the community and any issues that need to be highlighted. Even outside of schools and businesses, families can receive dedicated support if desired through therapy, counselling, and mentorship, further highlighting the multidisciplined nature of RYTC and its team. Particularly where families have a creative student amongst them, the team provides a level of support that ensures that each student has the foundations from which to explore their professional ambitions. Amongst the company’s newest services is a creative writing programme for young people – a five-day course which helps participants express their thoughts, imagination, and creativity through words. Students dedicate two hours each day to the course and are offered unrivalled support in a programme that leads toward them becoming a published writer by producing their own book. RYTC has also partnered with the Education Selection Box CIC and The Learning Genie Club to craft a children’s book series named The Adventures of Snuffer and Robertson, which is available from Amazon and is designed to encourage young readers. Recently, RYTC Creatives CIC gained notable recognition in the UK Enterprise Awards and was named Most Influential Creative Arts & Drama Therapy Service 2024 – Midlands. This title is testament to the commitment and hard work of Helen and the dedicated team. Contact: Helen Kenworthy Company: RYTC Creatives CIC Web Address: www.rytc.co.uk
