UK Enterprise Awards 2025

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an emerging evidence-based therapy developed by Trevor Silvester, Founder of the Quest Institute. Practitioners of Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy believe that each client already has the answers within to help themselves, and work alongside the client to create a bespoke treatment plan centred around how they view the world. One such practitioner championing this therapy is Heather Sinfield, a leading cognitive hypnotherapist dedicated to empowering her clients to develop their own toolkits, strengths, and strategies to achieve the chance they desire and live their best lives. We heard more from Heather, below, as she is named in the UK Enterprise Awards 2025. Heather Sinfield. Online Cognitive Hypnotherapist of the Year 2025: Heather Sinfield “Hi, I’m Heather and I’m a hypnotherapist.” That is how I start all of my YouTube videos, and I’m still not quite sure whether that is so people know they are in the right place or because I still find it hard to believe that I’ve finally found my purpose in life. I still have to pinch myself sometimes to believe that I get to help people make a true difference in their lives – often when they are at a really low point. I came into Cognitive Hypnotherapy as a roundabout result of going through an early year’s bereavement. Her name was Sophie. I was so incredibly well-supported and looked after by the people at Bristol Children’s Hospital and, in the last few days of her life, at Little Bridge House Children’s Hospice operated by the amazing team at Children’s Hospice South West. After relocating to the South East, I went on to work with the Child Death Helpline at Great Ormond Street Hospital, supporting parents through their most difficult times. This enabled me to help and give back in the same way I had been so wonderfully supported. As much as I loved it, I knew that I needed a break and went on to work in a more corporate role. An itch developed, however, when I recognised that I wanted to be more hands-on in my role and work directly with people to help them on a one-to-one basis. With unwavering support from my partner Steve, I undertook the training to become a practitioner of Cognitive Hypnotherapy. The idea of having more than one resource and approach that allowed me to treat the individual as a whole really spoke to me. Four years and hundreds of social posts later, unbelievably, here we are. I think that as therapists, social media is important for us to embrace; we know people often find it hard to reach out, so we need to make it easier for them. I don’t feel discouraged when a post only receives maybe one or two likes, because I understand that some people do not wish to be seen interacting with posts about therapy. In this role, I believe that it’s our job to make ourselves as contactable as possible – with boundaries, of course. Do not be afraid of social media. Do not be afraid to publish your five-star reviews. Each of these elements simply makes it easier for individuals to reach out to you and that is ultimately what we all want as therapists – to help more people. I can still scarcely believe it, but I would like to thank SME News magazine for awarding me the title of Online Cognitive Hypnotherapist of the Year 2025. I would also like to thank all of my clients for their support, as well as the remarkable supervisors and trainers at Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy. Finally, thank you Steve, forever my rock, and Sophie, forever my inspiration. “Hi, I’m Heather, I’m a hypnotherapist. I love it and will be eternally grateful. Thank you.” To find out more about Heather’s story or benefit from her fantastic therapies, visit her website and get in touch today.
