Malcolm says, “We work with Christian charity, Coaching for Christ, which brings the gospel to children through football. We also sponsor local adult teams including the Ballymena Ladies football team, Ballymena Rugby Club and the hockey club I play for myself, Parkview. I’m very thankful to be in this position and to be able to give back to the community.” But MB Motors doesn’t confine giving back to the community solely to sports. The company is a member of the Ballymena Chamber and dedicates time to helping individuals and families in need. MB Motors also sponsors initiatives such as Christmas dinners and Easter eggs for local families in need, as well as donating £100 for every car sold to Cash for Kids. We also take on the Bangers4Ben challenge each year. Conceived by Car Dealer Magazine as a way of supporting automotive industry charity Ben, the Bangers4Ben challenge has been running for over 15 years. Team members from the industry buy one or more vehicles for £750 or less which they then drive for 4 days, covering over 2000 miles across Europe. The destination changes each year, and in 2024 Malcolm and the team headed for the mythic Swiss Alps. The company enlisted the help of a local street artist and the children at a local school to help MB Motors cars stand out along the route.
