The benefits of approachable, understandable legal guidance for rural communities can’t be underestimated. As a result, much of the practice’s business comes from word-of-mouth recommendations. Despite demand, there’s only so much a sole practitioner can do. So, when Andre Bright joined forces with Alwena Jones in 2017, growth accelerated rapidly with offices in Barmouth and Dolgellau opening soon after. Yasmin tells us more about Alwena Jones & Bright’s unique approach: “We pair every client with a dedicated advisor who explains the process thoroughly. A great example is Hannah Dobson, who relocated from Northwich in 2022 to join the firm. Her expertise and commitment to client service quickly stood out, and in 2024, she became a Director alongside Andre Bright. Yasmin explains: “We’ve built a close-knit and trusted team with very low turnover across all branches. We invest in staff wellbeing through regular team activities and social outings. Recent outings have included meals together, paddleboarding in Barmouth, and hiking Cader Idris. High-pressure legal work can sometimes take a toll. To ensure staff feel consistently supported, we’ve introduced access to BetterHelp counselling services. These efforts all contribute to a positive, collaborative, and resilient working environment.” Pro bono work for the local town council is part of Alwena Jones & Bright’s initiative to give back and support the communities it serves. The firm also makes regular contributions to the local community and economy by sponsoring local teams, donating to charities, and supporting local suppliers and small businesses.
