Battington Launches Namesake App

Battington, the premier false eyelash brand founded by Sirine Swed, launched today its namesake iOS mobile app, offering users an Augmented Reality shopping experience unlike any other in the beauty industry. Created by FaceCake, the leader in augmented reality for retail, the app features Battington’s signature 100% handmade silk lashes and 3D lashes in stunning, photorealistic detail. Intuitive and elegant in design, users seamlessly immerse themselves in the full Battington experience with one easy download. FaceCake’s Augmented Reality shopping platform demonstrates the versatility and everyday glamour of Battington’s collection of luxury lashes.

Users can browse the full Battington collection and virtually Try-On lashes live on their own image, implement a feature enhancing filter, tap to shop instantly, and share directly on their social media accounts.

It was of utmost importance that we turn our customers’ lash dreams into a reality when creating this app,” states Sirine Swed, founder of Battington. “We are now adding another dimension to their shopping experience which allows women to buy a product that is best suited to their needs and desires.”

Whether they are a first-time buyer or a seasoned lash pro, this app was carefully designed so that users could easily experience the transformative nature of Battington with just a touch of their screen,” added Creative Director Lilliana Vazquez. “Each step was created with the user experience at the forefront, so that our customers can select and preview the lash which best complements their face shape and eye shape before they make their purchase. We could not be more excited to be launching this app in partnership with FaceCake, the leader in augmented retail technology.

Battington has created such beautiful lashes, so we developed a process to represent them in photorealistic detail, preserving their beauty and natural look for users to virtually Try-On,” said FaceCake Founder and CEO Linda Smith, “We couldn’t have asked for a better partner and are excited to launch the app.”
