A Free Course to Help You Get the Most from Your Business

Growing a business is no easy task. From finance to marketing and sustainability to staff wellbeing, there are many plates to juggle when growing a small business – and lots of expert voices claiming to show you how to do it. Whether its online “gurus” or your friends and family, everyone has an opinion on what you should do next. But sometimes you just need something that cuts through the noise. A trusted voice, teaching you the basics, and helping you think through the next steps.

That’s where Help to Grow: Management Essentials comes in.

Help to Grow: Management Essentials is a free, online course, backed by some of the leading business schools and packed with tried and tested frameworks for growth. The course will help you sharpen your skillsets, learn new things, and get clear on your direction of travel, all while providing you with the practical tools and tips you need to excel.

Developed by the team at the Small Business Charter, and fully funded by the UK government, this course is packed with real-life stories from businesses like GymShark, Mackies and Ooni, who share what’s worked for them, and what hasn’t, helping you avoid costly mistakes and grow with confidence.

Aimed at a diverse landscape of SMEs who’ve had some initial success but are hungry for more, the course will help you explore how to think more strategically about your business, your target market, and your go-to-market strategy.

Taking only two hours to complete, and having already helped hundreds of people to unlock the true potential of their business, the course does more than tick boxes for your business growth, it works wonders for the present and the future ahead.

“It’s a great course. It covers A-Z of business success. I feel empowered listening to the various units and inspired to get me business going.” – Babatunde Oladele Lead Consultant at TRW Consult

For those wondering how Help to Grow: Management Essentials works, here are the facts. After completing a short online registration process you will have full access to all modules, to complete in your own time.

There are three modules, each containing bite-sized videos and resources to help you think about your business’s goals and future growth plans. There are 17 videos in total, each lasting five to seven minutes. You can work through them in order, or pick the ones that interest you most.

As you work through the videos, you’re encouraged to complete tasks and make notes in a dedicated online space, helping to ensure you take action and put the tools you’ve been introduced to into place. Upon completion of all modules of the course, you’ll receive a digital certificate and digital badge so you can share your achievements online.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a much clearer idea of your direction of travel, knowledge of a number of frameworks to help you order your thoughts, and the fresh, new beginnings of a growth strategy that will take you to the next level.

“I found the course content very useful and easy to understand. It gives a great insight into each subject and encourages further learning and development.” – Christopher Manson General Manager, Jim’s Garage
