SME News Q1 2025 / News Uber launches Courier service in UK to help individuals and small businesses manage deliveries Uber has launched a new on-demand delivery service called Courier, designed to help individuals and small businesses across the UK handle everyday errands and deliveries with ease. The service, now live in nine cities and set to expand to 20 by the end of the summer, is the latest move by Uber to diversify beyond rides and food delivery. Courier is integrated directly into the Uber app, offering a simple and seamless experience for users who need to send or receive items quickly—whether that’s forgotten house keys, a birthday gift, or a time-sensitive business delivery. Currently live in Sheffield, Edinburgh, Stoke, Glasgow, Leicester, Oxford, Belfast, Northampton, and Hull, Courier is expected to roll out in additional locations including Brighton, Cambridge, Cardiff, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Merseyside, Nottingham, Bristol, and Sussex, with London scheduled to join the programme in late 2025. Andrew Brem, General Manager at Uber UK, said the new service reflects a growing demand for fast, flexible logistics. “Courier is designed for those moments when something just needs to get done, but you can’t get to it yourself,” he said. “By offering an easy, reliable way to send and receive items, Courier helps people and small businesses reclaim valuable time for what matters most.” While ideal for personal tasks, Uber sees Courier as a powerful tool for small businesses. From independent retailers offering same-day delivery to professional services needing to transport documents, the service offers a convenient logistics solution without the overheads of traditional courier services. Users simply open the Uber app, select Courier, enter pickup and drop-off locations, describe the item (which must be under 15 pounds and valued at under £200), and track the delivery in real time. Features such as PIN verification, live trip tracking, and shareable delivery updates are all included, offering peace of mind to both senders and recipients. The five-step process — book, describe, confirm, track, verify — keeps it simple and secure. Courier is positioned to help ease the logistics of modern life while supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners in staying competitive and responsive. Uber’s entry into the on-demand delivery space beyond food is a signal of its broader ambitions to become a one-stop platform for urban mobility and logistics. With the growing need for agile, lastmile delivery, Courier aims to offer a scalable solution for both personal and business use. As cities continue to adapt to hybrid lifestyles, changing retail habits, and increased e-commerce expectations, services like Uber Courier could quickly become a core part of the daily logistics mix — empowering customers to get more done without leaving the house or the office.

UK SME lender Funding Circle enables ninth public securitisation The latest development brings the total securitised issuance through the platform to approximately £2.17bn ($2.91bn). UK SME finance platform Funding Circle has facilitated its ninth public securitisation, SBOLT 2025-1, with loans contributed by Waterfall Asset Management. The latest development brings the total securitised issuance through the platform to approximately £2.17bn ($2.91bn). Funding Circle said that investor demand for its SME loans and related bonds underscores the asset’s attractiveness, reinforcing its position as one of the leading issuers of SME asset-backed securities in the UK and Europe over the last ten years. It added that the securitisation was “wellreceived by” the market, even amid significant economic fluctuations. BNP Paribas served as the sole arranger, with Citi as joint-lead manager. Funding Circle’s platform and technology allow institutional investors to deploy capital to a diverse range of UK SMEs. Funding Circle chief capital officer Dipesh Mehta said: “This transaction is a testament to the track record Funding Circle has built, and the strength and attractiveness of UK SME credit as an asset class, highlighting our advanced capabilities in assisting our investor partners to access deep and liquid capital markets. “Despite challenging market conditions, the positive reception for this issuance demonstrates continued investor appetite for these assets. We remain committed to empowering our institutional partners to effectively deploy capital to hardworking SMEs across the UK, fostering economic growth and opportunity.” In March 2025, Funding Circle reported a profit before tax of £3.4m for 2024, excluding exceptional items. This marked a turnaround from the previous year’s loss of £9.9m. Credit extended soared 47% year-on-year to £1.89bn while balances under management slightly decreased to £2.83bn from £2.92bn in the previous year. The company’s revenue grew to £160.1m, compared with £130.1m a year ago. Term loans, in particular, saw an increase in profitability, with profit before tax preexceptionals reaching £19m, up from £6.5m in 2023.

Providing clients with a safe, relational environment in which they can understand their inner world, make meaning of their pasts, and move forward via a process of healing and integration, BeeSan Psychotherapy and Counselling Services in Edinburgh thrives on empathy and compassion. Recognised as the Psychotherapy Clinic of the Year 2025 – Edinburgh in this programme, we caught up with the company’s own Benedicta “Bennie” Sanio Ala-Oborie for more about its inclusive mental health support. BeeSan Psychotherapy and Counselling Services: A Safe Place to Talk BeeSan is, at its core, a psychodynamic, person-centred, and trauma-informed psychotherapy service provider that offers a space for every client to both reclaim their narrative and reconnect with their true self. At the heart of the company is Bennie, a fully qualified psychotherapist registered with both BACP and COSCA. Bennie and her team work both remotely and from an office near Haymarket Station, delivering their long-term therapy support to clients throughout the UK. Leveraging values such as safety, trust, depth, meaning, understanding, empathy, and presence, BeeSan is able to offer bespoke, individualised care, while recognising that no two journeys are the same and therefore should not be treated as such. As Bennie explained, “Our work is responsive to the strengths, pace, and lived experiences of our individual clients, and considerate of their cultural, social, and personal contexts.” Distinguished as a result of this reflective, human-centric style of therapy, BeeSan is not only set apart by what it does, but also how it does it. For example, its team are always trauma-informed, and their ability to spot the signs and respond accordingly is a crucial component of nurturing growth in every session. Then, there is the detail-oriented nature of this private psychotherapy service, with Bennie and team going above and beyond for each individual client. Because healing from past trauma is not a linear process and can only be achieved with flexibility and collaboration, BeeSan affords its clients healing in a space that is designed especially for them. In this confidential and non-judgmental environment, clients are free to unpack their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, benefiting from a therapeutic relationship that is based on trust and warmth and underpinned by a sense of mutual respect. “If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what you need, our one-to-one sessions are designed to meet you where you’re at, and gently guide you towards where you’d like to be.” For Bennie and her small team, the choice to pursue a career in the realm of psychotherapy and counselling was a calling, one brought on by empathy, lived experience, and a belief in the healing power of human connections. Having seen for themselves how trauma (including transgenerational trauma) and societal pressures impact people, especially those in the LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and other minority communities, these individuals pledged to devote themselves to both radical change and holistic support. This vow is about much more than helping people to cope with their circumstances, it is about seeing clients rebuilding their emotional resilience. Exploring this further, Bennie told us: “Whether through individual therapy sessions or broader mental health advocacy, we hope to journey alongside folks as they reclaim their stories, rebuild a sense of self, and find meaning on their terms.” Supporting the company as it fulfils this aim is its current transition from a solo practice into an agency model, the intention of which is to create a hub for healing that can be accessed by clients and therapists alike. This is just the beginning of what is a detailed plan for BeeSan’s future, with the company aiming to become a leading trauma-informed mental health agency by increasing access to its services, furthering its impact, and growing a community of aware, attuned, and compassion-driven practitioners. Going forwards, BeeSan is also looking to double down on its fostering of creative, flexible, and accessible therapy options, with these set to prove particularly impactful on those communities long underserved in traditional mental health settings. The company operating online sessions is already a great example of this, with its presence in the digital sphere only set to grow as we move through the rest of 2025 and beyond. In closing, Bennie explained: “Our future rests on community and relationships. At BeeSan Psychotherapy and Counselling Services, we aim not just to be a service, but a home for healing.” Diligently working towards this every day, it is our pleasure to recognise the company’s efforts through a place in this programme. SME News Q2 2025 / 8 Franchise Fame: A Thriving Franchise Ecosystem Franchise Fame exists to connect discerning entrepreneurs with the most attractive franchising opportunities on the market today. The company is much more than just the comprehensive franchise directory it offers however, as it also delivers an encompassing range of marketing services to support both franchises themselves and their respective networks. Named as the Best Franchise Marketing Specialists 2025 – UK in this feature, we take a deep dive into Franchise Fame below. On a mission to empower franchise brands through the provision of transparent, datadriven, and results-focused marketing and lead generation services, Franchise Fame makes brands more visible and credible, paving the way for them to experience sustainable growth on an international level. As for how the company does this exactly, it offers a range of expert services spanning everything from content marketing and PR to recruitment and website optimisation, customising these to a client’s specific needs. Complementing this service suite is Franchise Fame’s aforementioned directory, with this robust platform designed to both increase the visibility of a brand and attract high-potential leads for franchisors. Boasting both free and premium listing options, the platform is suitable for franchises of all shapes and sizes – showcasing the opportunities they offer and pairing them with a motivated target audience. “Franchisors using our directory, especially those on paid plans, have seen a steady increase in lead volume and quality. They value the hands-on support from our team and the flexibility to combine directory visibility with additional services like digital ads, SEO, and PR for even better results.” As with most things across its operation, all of the services mentioned above were created atop the guiding ethos that Franchise Fame has built its success around – with this stemming from CEO and bestselling author Dani Peleva. Dani is the visionary behind the “5 Fs of Franchise Marketing” framework, a convenient tool that is constantly utilised by her team to see that franchises find success at every stage of their journey. The first of the 5 “Fs” is Fantastic Reputation, which the company strives to secure for every client by building trust and authority for their business – across both online and offline channels. The second “F”, Franchise Network, focuses on franchisee success, as Dani and the team here recognise that a strong network is the foundation of every thriving brand. Taking things to the next level, the third “F” embodies the need for a Focused Team, which Franchise Fame achieves through a blend of in-house and outsourced professionals. Full Funnel, the fourth “F”, sees the team pledge to both create and manage impactdriven lead generation strategies, with these being equal parts research-based and tailored to a specific franchise to ensure they add maximum value. This brings us to the fifth and final “F”, Finding the Fit. It is here that the directory comes in, with Dani and her team seeing that franchisors can both attract and recruit like-minded franchisees – individuals/ entities that align seamlessly with their brand and are committed to its success. When combined with the core values at the heart of the business – collaboration, integrity, innovation – what emerges is a standout in this industry, a company that drives sustainable growth through a fullservice, franchise-specific approach that considers the needs of franchisor and franchisee alike. A company spokesperson explains: “Unlike generalist agencies, we understand the intricacies of franchising – from brand consistency and compliance to localised support and franchisee recruitment.” Thus, given its franchise expertise, its track record of data-driven results, commitment to transparent communication, ability to customise its solutions to bolster effectiveness, and blending of a global reach with localised support, Franchise Fame goes well beyond the duties of a mere service provider. Instead, it is a true partner to its clients, sharing in their ups and downs whilst steadily helping them to grow with the utmost confidence. Clients from all over the world corroborate this claim, from franchises at home in the UK to those in countries as far as away as the UAE, Australia, and the US. Just one example of this glowing feedback comes from Sebastain Bates of Warrior Academy, who said: “Dani and the Franchise Fame team have been invaluable in managing marketing and advertising across our UK and UAE branches. I highly recommend Franchise Fame to any multi-location business or franchise seeking a performance-driven agency.” With stellar reviews such as this one available in abundance – not to mention a directory that serves as a launchpad for franchise success and a host of marketing services designed to reinforce a brand’s presence – Franchise Fame is a fitting recipient of this title. Q: What inspired you to found Jaccountancy UK Ltd, and what is the firm’s mission? A: As someone who is proudly gay and lives with ADHD, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. But I chose to channel that energy and focus it into something purposeful. At 23, I started self-studying AAT in-between my jobs, and within 24 months, I’d completed every AAT qualification and became a recognised qualified Accountant. During my studying I was able to swap my call centre job for the role of accounts assistant and quickly became the financial director for the business, before the employer eventually transitioned into a client of Jaccountancy. A week after my final AAT exam in June 2019, I was recognised as AAT Member of the year and I launched my company, Jaccountancy, with no investors, no pitch deck, no plan, and no formal training then what I have taught myself. I’m 31 now, and as we approach Jaccountancy’s 6-year anniversary, we’ve grown to a team of 14 operating at our Jaccountancy headquarters. The name itself is personal — “Jaccountancy” starts with ‘J’ because the difference is me, it’s my dream and, it’s not just my dream anymore. Monday to Friday, I see 14 incredible people walk into our office, building this dream alongside me and to me that is a real privilege. Q: Jaccountancy offers monthly subscription packages for accounting services – such as Solo and Solo+ for individuals, and Micro, Starter, Standard, Premium, Ultimate for companies. How do these subscriptions provide flexibility and clarity for small business clients? A: At Jaccountancy, our monthly accounting subscriptions are at the heart of everything we do — they’re how we make accountancy accessible, understandable, and affordable for real people running real businesses. This means unlimited support — meetings, calls, emails, bookkeeping entries, invoices, software use — no hidden fees, no “extras” for just getting the help you need. We’ve built tailored plans to match where people are in their journey. Solo and Solo+ are perfect for freelancers and self-employed individuals, and as businesses grow, they can move smoothly into Micro, Starter, Standard, Premium or Ultimate — each one packed with everything that’s required. Q: What core values guide your work at Jaccountancy, and what advice from your professional experience do you often share with small business clients? A: At Jaccountancy, everything we do is built on three key values: transparency, innovation, and real client care. Transparency means we keep things simple and honest — whether it’s pricing, communication, or advice. If something doesn’t make sense to a client, that’s on us to explain it better. Innovation is a big one for us too — and not just because we’re using tools like Xero, Dext, and our inhouse AI system, Jenius. Innovation is a mindset. We’re always looking for ways to do things smarter, faster, and better it’s our whole approach. In terms of advice: get the basics right. Open a separate business bank account. Keep your bookkeeping up to date. Use the tech that’s out there to stay on top of your numbers — and let us help you set up systems that work for you. I would also encourage everyone to use all the reliefs available — that’s why we build processes and dashboards to make everything easier to track and easier to understand. Jaccountancy is here to help plan, grow, and avoid those headaches before they start. Q: What are your future plans or ambitions for Jaccountancy? How do you see the firm evolving in the next few years? A: The next chapter for Jaccountancy is going to be our biggest yet — and honestly, I couldn’t be more excited. We expect to double our headcount over the next couple of years, bringing in even more passionate, driven people who believe in our mission to simplify and humanise accounting for small business owners. We’re not just growing for the sake of it — we’re scaling with purpose, to meet the rising demand for clarity, support, and smart accountants in a changing world. Q: How can small businesses get in touch with Jaccountancy if they’re interested in your services? We’ve made it as easy and stress-free as possible to get in touch — because we know business owners are busy and don’t have time to jump through hoops. Head to www.jaccountancy.co.uk, call 0330 122 2280, or pop into our office at The Maling Exchange, Hoults Yard. If you’d rather reach out directly, I’m always happy to hear from business owners — just drop us an email at [email protected]. SME News Q2 2025 / 10 Best Event Management & Production Agency 2025 – North West England Originally launched as Glasgows back in 1986, OneTwo seamlessly combines creativity and practicality – delivering event, digital, film, and creative services all from under one roof in Lancashire. We had the pleasure of catching up with Tim Lowell, one of OneTwo’s joint managing directors, to learn more about both the company itself and the team of passionate and dedicated individuals behind it. Founded in the mid-1980s by Ron Glasgow – hence the company’s former name – OneTwo has been operating atop the belief that “experience is everything” for almost 40 years. In the early days, Ron and his team specialised in marketing and PR, but changing times and a desire to evolve led the company to develop into a full-service event delivery and technical production agency. Now into its fifth decade, OneTwo is today an industry leader and one of the premier agencies of its kind across the whole of the UK. A crucial part of the agency’s success over the years is its friendly and approachable team, with their no-fuss attitude making them a joy to work with. Of course, it helps that these individuals are all talented, knowledgeable, and highly experienced in their respective areas, making OneTwo as dependable as it is innovative. Beyond this, a pledge to sustainability and social value sees the agency align with the goals of its clients, bolstering the memorable, results-driven experiences it provides. When describing what it is that sets OneTwo apart in the industry, Tim put it best when he said: “We’re not the loudest in the room - we are the ones quietly getting things done. Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for being unflappable, adaptable, and ruthlessly organised – without losing the human touch.” Many agencies claim to be “full service”, but few think like OneTwo and genuinely make their clients’ lives easier. “We’re the agency you call when it really matters.” Rather than just simply having creative, digital, film, and event experts under one roof, OneTwo sees that the right people are talking to one another, exchanging ideas and solving problems. The power of these joint efforts was seen most recently in an immersive experience the team delivered for the Joint Security and Resilience Centre (part of the Home Office) at the Security & Policing event held earlier this year. Tasked with creating a three-day, live, interactive installation that would bring together real technology and engage everyone from security professionals to international delegations – all whilst telling a compelling story – the team created CityWatch: Streets of Tomorrow. They handled every element of this fully immersive experience set five years in the future, from writing the scripts and casting actors to building a fictional security HQ embedded with the technology of real suppliers. As Tim explained: “The result was a truly immersive, story-led experience that showcased emerging technology through its real-world application in a high-stakes, believable environment.” This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to projects OneTwo has recently completed, with other endeavours including working with the Greater London Authority on People’s Question Time – which it has been doing for more than a decade now – and delivering the CCS (Crown Commercial Service) Live event at Exhibition Centre Liverpool. The latter allowed the company to showcase its sustainable commitment, using recycled materials and local, eco-friendly artists to bring the space to life. With the events landscape continuously evolving, so too is OneTwo, tackling shifts relating to new technologies and a push for greener events head on. This is not to say that the team here are just reactive to industry trends, as they also make a point of spurring them on, staying ahead of the curve by evolving constantly and going the extra mile in the pursuit of perfection for their clients. Since we are now almost halfway through 2025, OneTwo has started to think about the ways in which it will continue to move the needle into 2026 and beyond. These include finding smarter ways to deliver events, investing in the next generation of talent, and reducing its impact on the environment even further. Having also recently secured several multiyear frameworks with some high-profile clients, the future is certainly bright for this, the “best-kept secret in the North”, as many have called it. A beacon of creative event production and immersive experiences, we are privileged to recognise OneTwo with this award and a coveted place in this programme. The story of Prosper2 began with Michael Wilson, the visionary behind the company, and his growing tired of only being able to share the projects and opportunities he was presented with to interested parties in his network after it was already too late. Realising that there must be a better way to nurture collaboration and drive innovation, Prosper2 was born. Working on a membership basis, this is a club that affords all of its members access to the latest goings-on in their markets, making it an invaluable investment for them all. Aside from providing its valued members with access to these unique SME-based business opportunities, Prosper2’s distinction reverberates further through its aforementioned rewards and incentives scheme, for which it has been celebrated with this prestigious title. What makes this program so unique is that, because it has been executed in partnership with MasterCard, which itself has made waves in the loyalty space, members can redeem and spend their points anywhere in the world where MasterCard is accepted. This immediately makes Prosper2 Rewards different from traditional rewards programmes, which are often limited in terms of where and on what points can be redeemed. For example, when it comes to air miles, the points may only be used by one certain airline on future flights, which can be incredibly restrictive in the long run and even result in the rewards not being used. By making it so that members can spend their rewards whenever and wherever they choose, the freedom inherent across Prosper2’s programme is raising the bar. When it comes to earning these points, the first stage of the process entails joining Prosper2 as a member, as the number of points received depends on which membership level a person has (Trail, Gold, Platinum, or Black). From here, purchasing services from the Prosper2 Service Hub – which offers bespoke business solutions to drive growth – can secure points, and so too can buying the goods or services provided by other club members, attending exclusive events, and referring a friend’s business to the programme. All of these points are then loaded straight to the multi-currency Prosper² Rewards Prepaid Mastercard®. One of the best things about the Prosper2 Rewards suite is that it can also be used by members to create a tailored rewards programme for their own businesses, which can be rolled out to their customers and suppliers alike. By rewarding a client’s supply chain with points that can be spent as they wish, the result is that stronger relationships are nurtured, all in a cost-effective manner. This is because Prosper2 Rewards offers an out-of-the-box solution that is flexible, adaptable, and even boasts a variety of white-label capabilities. It is not only the discounts and loyalty card that make a membership with Prosper2 worth it however, and across the three non-trial tiers – Gold, Platinum, and Black – several additional benefits can be found, be it a client having their business listed on the marketplace or being afforded a business or corporate travel concierge. The exclusive Black tier of membership is by invitation only and unlocks countless benefits which can truly transform an SME, from social media strategy reviews to digital presence reports. Prosper² is a membership-based business club created exclusively for UK businesses and their leaders, especially those operating in the SME market, Prosper2 was founded to help like-minded individuals share ideas, opportunities, and investments. Determined to provide members with a points-based rewards programme as a thank you, Founder Michael Wilson struck a deal with MasterCard to pioneer an innovative rewards scheme linked to a pre-paid card. On the back of this, it is our pleasure to recognise Prosper2 as the SME Business Club of the Year 2025 – UK. A Highly Rewarding SME Member Club Mar25083 Prosper2’s ethos of listening, engaging, and enabling its members at every turn is something that is perfectly reflected across this rewards programme, which itself is just one of many reasons why a membership with the company is the right call for SMEs of any variety across the UK. At times, it can feel incredibly isolating running a business, and all that is needed is a lending hand, a new opportunity, or the option to collaborate with a fellow professional. All of this, and much more, makes Prosper2 the best membership a business can have. Named as the SME Business Club of the Year 2025 – UK, Prosper2 is this and so much more. Those interested in joining or learning more about the business are invited to follow the link below to the company website. SME News Q2 2025 / 14 ITHQ:Leading the Resilience Revolution In this rapidly advancing era of technology, a business is only as powerful as its IT systems and protection. As businesses struggle to keep up, however, many are left exposed to a myriad of technological threats. Based in Crawley, ITHQ is a forward-thinking business delivering precision-selected solutions via flexible, business-aligned models – preparing businesses to anticipate, withstand, recover, and evolve from any technological interruptions they encounter. We found out more from Sally Nursten, Chief Marketing Officer at ITHQ, as the company is named in the Business Elite Awards 2025. Founded in 2020, ITHQ was born from a drive to unleash the full potential of client businesses, reshape information strategies, and enhance resilience. Dedicated to solving even the most wicked technological problems for its clientele, ITHQ uses an expert combination of strategy, skills, and precision-selected solutions to deliver long-lasting and meaningful impact to its clientele. Having been established upon the core values of authenticity, transparency, accountability, and a growth mindset, the company uses precision-crafted processes and exceptional technologies to drive results. ITHQ is helmed by Scott Nursten, its Founder, Director, and CEO. Prior to establishing the business in 2020, Scott enjoyed a prestigious career within the technology industry. Having built a great reputation in the field, Scott sold his first tech business in 2007 – a Cisco Gold Partner. Since then, he has demonstrated his prowess through active involvement in building up several businesses for sale, alongside acting as non-executive Director of HubSpot Elite Partner, Struto. At the head of ITHQ, Scott leads his team to dominate the UK tech market by helping businesses with their technological journeys. Today, ITHQ stands as a key player in the market, and is regarded as one of Europe’s fastest growing businesses – ranked 222 in the FT 1000. The company has built a stellar reputation for success across various industries, working with organisations across public and private sectors including retail, education, healthcare, financial services, insurance, blue light, media and entertainment, leisure, and government. Regardless of the project scope, ITHQ will provide clients with a solution model tailored to their business needs that broadly follows three key steps: Embark, Accelerate, and Transform. Each project begins with a full assessment and gap analysis, which enables ITHQ to formulate the best strategies and solutions for the client. Then, the team will implement these strategies by building benchmarked solutions mapped to critical controls and tuned for the best outcomes. This is followed by the ‘run’ period of the project, in which ITHQ monitors and analyses business performance as the strategic roadmap unfolds. Finally, the company will then use this data to learn, improve, and upgrade its approach, advancing and evolving the tailored strategy with every cycle. “We are technical experts led by highly qualified and experienced strategists, ensuring that security is baked into our solutions,” Sally told us. “Whether the initial need is for risk management, cyber security, infrastructure, or a strategic review, our lifecycle process uses three-tofive-year roadmaps to ensure continuous, business-aligned projects. “Our customers report higher returns, the elimination of knee-jerk tech spend, and improved executive buy-in as a result. This strategic model, together with our technical expertise, sets us apart and drives our unprecedented Net Promoter Score. We receive a consistently high NPS, way above the industry standard. It is through this dedication to solving wicked tech problems for our clients that ITHQ has become synonymous with exceptional quality of solution delivery and customer service – good old-fashioned customer service is the reason for our fast growth.” This approach has proven incredibly successful and has enabled ITHQ to enhance and empower many businesses. One of its more notable successes has been its ongoing partnership with The Hippodrome, supporting the technological evolution of one of London’s most iconic landmarks. ITHQ has delivered and continues to manage more than 20 solutions that have enabled its essential systems to run smoothly and reliably, all while meeting the most stringent compliance requirements. Since its initial CCTV refresh project in 2021, ITHQ has become the resilience partner to The Hippodrome with both standalone and ongoing projects including infrastructure, cyber security, disaster recovery, and more. Philip Mitchell, Head of IT at The Hippodrome Casino, said of the partnership: “We have a personal relationship with some key people at ITHQ. Always available, they always answer your calls and texts as they come through. It’s a collaborative effort. We’ve worked with a lot of suppliers in the past and one of ITHQ’s strengths is that they have a really broad skillset, with expertise in many different areas. We’ve had new Wi-Fi systems, new gaming networks, and the whole production server is coming too, all with little to no disruption. It would not be possible without the support of ITHQ.” Contact: Sally Nursten Company: ITHQ Web Address: https://ithq.pro/ Mar25055

This consultancy is made up of like-minded individuals who each bring something unique to the table, and it’s with pride that we bestow Transform Communications with its title in this esteemed programme. We explore the consultancy’s solutions with Office Manager Laura Shuttleworth as we award it with the title of Best Full-Service Marketing Agency 2025 – South West England. A Creative Consultancy for True Transformation “We’re more than a marketing agency. We’re your agents of change.” In March this year, Transform Communications hit its 15th year anniversary of transforming businesses through its services and expertise. This is a fantastic milestone and opportunity to celebrate the agency’s dedication to its craft as it wins its title in SME News’ Business Elite Awards 2025. From branding and design to website design and building, content marketing to videography, public relations to ESG engagement, and seamless digital marketing, Transform Communications presents a plethora of services that are guaranteed to elevate your excellence in business. “We’re a friendly team of open-minded individuals working together to create amazing (award-winning) things. Our vision is to support ambition, inspire change, and enrich the lives of our people and our clients.” Laura shared: “We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach. We are a consultancy, not just an agency. Every programme with us starts with a Deep Dive session, so that we can immediately align with our clients’ vision, mission, purpose and objectives. “Our creative teams are involved right from the beginning, often participating in these sessions. This means that our team is highly engaged and aligned with the client, and that we’re all on the same path to deliver the same vision. Whether our client is an international organisation, or a regional business, we get them.” Inspiring real transformations while staying true to its core values, Transform Communications promotes businesses through collaboration, creativity, curiosity, and a daring attitude for trying new things for growth. Keeping these values close to its heart, the consultancy continues to contribute to its industry while standing head and shoulders above the competition. By prioritising each client, every time, Transform Communications focuses on building the right strategy from the very beginning of its relationships. Laura told us: “Strategy sits at the heart of what we do. That’s why we are a consultancy and not just an agency. Businesses are constantly told that they need to update their website, to post more on social media, to write more blogs, to appear more in the media. “Knowing where to put the effort in is difficult, often making marketing very ineffective. We align marketing to our clients’ business strategy, so every campaign has a purpose beyond the vanity statistics of likes, click throughs and downloads.” Sharing a recent success story, Laura informed us that Transform Communications worked closely with Wincanton. She added: “How do you get transport decision makers in the UK’s largest companies interested in becoming more sustainable? We need them to be interested, as 24% of the UK’s carbon emissions comes from transport and HGVs are responsible for one fifth of these emissions. To grab their attention, we created the publication ’Share the Road to Sustainability’ that is packed full of insights and visual infographics.” This publication resulted in a brilliant outcome for Wincanton as “Wincanton’s Subject Matter Experts are promoted as thought leaders on how to cut costs and reduce carbon.” Having such an impact through marketing and brand communications, Jamie Newton, Head of Marketing for Wincanton, enthused: “We wanted Share the Road to Sustainability to push the boundaries in a conservative sector. “This design brings to life our thought leadership, creating a distinctive visual identity that influences every aspect of our integrated campaigns – from exhibition stands to digital comms and email marketing campaigns. Transform has created cut-through and delivered a communications design that makes us stand out in a competitive space.” Working together as a well-oiled machine, but with a lot of heart, Transform Communications is creating a better future for many businesses sweeping across a wide range of industries. Previously awarded in our UK Enterprise Awards, Southern Enterprise Awards, and FinTech Awards, we’re proud to announce the agency’s win from us again this year. Here at SME News we wish the team all the best as they continue to elevate the marketing industry as a whole.
