In 2004, Janosch Moldau began writing and recording his own music, a decision that would shape the trajectory of the rest of his life. Prior to this decision, Janosch had began his career as a sound designer, working in studios across Cologne, the Netherlands, and England. This experience enabled Janosch to build a solid foundation in understanding audio production, a skill he has taken with him and leveraged at every stage to deliver high quality music that deeply resonates with his audience. In 2005, Janosch founded Janosch Moldau Labels, a label that primarily focuses on licensing his music and managing merchandise. The formation of Janosch Moldau Labels has played an instrumental role in allowing Janosch to maintain his artistic independence whilst distributing his music on a global scale. Janosch runs his label alongside Hendrick Schindler, personal manager and best friend, who he has worked alongside since 2005. “Janosch Moldau Labels was founded in the UK as a limited company, to serve as a record label for my songs, copyrights, and worldwide releases as a musician,” Janosch recalled. “The label is my ‘shelter’ and a licensing company for my music to gain international impact. I have signed contracts with major distributors and record labels to bring my music to the forefront and out on the market. This makes a huge difference, as I have always had the opportunity to negotiate as a record label and not as an artist only!” The launch of Janosch Moldau Labels coincided with the release of Janosch’s debut album, Redeemer. Redeemer was released in 2005 through Janosch Moldau Labels, predominantly comprising quiet electronic songs with synth pop, dark wave, downbeat, and electroclash influences. The album’s two singles, I’m Falling From Love and Bleed On, were represented in the German Electronic Webcharts and various college radio playlists for numerous weeks. An avid music-lover, Janosch has been involved in music since he was a young child. His mother taught for the school of music in Neu-Ulm and also studied the piano, meaning that she owned a lot of classical music. Each day, Janosch would immediately turn to music upon returning from school, until his mother ensured that his homework be completed beforehand. He knew that while he could not achieve his dreams then, it was a vision he could work towards and one day achieve. And that is precisely what Janosch has done; in the two decades since the launch of his debut album, Janosch has released a number of albums, including Motel Songs (2008), Clear + One With The Sinner Remixed (2009), Lovestar (2012), Minor (2015), Ghost Tracks (2016), Host (2019), and Rewind (2021). Known for masterfully blending elements of electronic, synth-pop, and alternative genres, Janosch’s diverse music has resonated with an impressive number of listeners worldwide, as demonstrated by his successful chart history across Spotify, iTunes, and the UK charts. Janosch attributes much of his success to his loyal fanbase, coming from all corners of the globe. His fans show their unwavering support by purchasing his merchandise and monthly or yearly tiered subscriptions through the Janosch Moldau Fan Club and Patreon site. These subscriptions enable Janosch’s fans to remain up to date with his music and, depending on the subscription tier, provides them with exclusive access to the singer and his world. Since entering the music sphere, Janosch has succeeded in building a global fanbase, and has shown an unwavering commitment to them in return. He is passionate about his craft and has spent more than two decades developing his skillset to lead the post-pop era throughout the world. After reflecting upon his significant successes, we asked Janosch what the future held for him and his label. “2025 is my anniversary as a solo musician,” he shared. “I will release a new three-track single, The Ground, along with a remix and nostalgic B-side song. We will be announcing some upcoming tour dates as soon as possible, and my stage design will be completely redesigned with LED walls for visuals, amongst many other cool surprises…” To keep up with Janosch Moldau as he enters this exciting transformational period, visit the musician’s website or merchandise store today. SME News UK Enterprise Awards 2025/ 8 North Cornwall is one of the most spectacular locations in the UK, with this area of natural beauty housing some remarkable beaches and a host of quaint towns and villages. Padstow is perhaps the jewel in North Cornwall’s crown, and the town has become famous over the years as a go to for foodies –`originally thanks to Rick Stein, but more recently also Paul Ainsworth. and their various restaurants. The town is also home to Kilden Mor, a three-bedroom property and the perfect place to enjoy the dining hotspots that have become synonymous with Padstow over the years. Below, we take a closer look at the property. From an elevated vantage point offering tremendous views of both Padstow and the neighbouring Camel Estuary, Kilden Mor stands proudly – both as a beacon of striking architecture and as a stylish, comfortable retreat for discerning holidaymakers. Boasting three spacious bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms, every inch of this property is as sleek as it is cosy, with amenities such as a bubbling hot tub, a wood-burning stove, and a surprising, secluded garden rounding out what is an incredibly versatile open-plan design. The bedrooms located across two floors, with two of them with their own patios, offering direct access to the property’s secure garden – inviting guests to start their day perfectly by sliding open the doors and soaking up the sun’s morning rays. Moving to the upper floor, the reverse living open plan space comprising the kitchen, living and dining areas offer unspoiled views of the surrounding region, including North Cornwall’s green spaces and the Camel Estuary. From the open plan area step out onto a private deck which is the best way to enjoy the views and an excellent place to savour the first coffee of the day. A big part of the appeal of Kilden Mor is its location, which is in the heart of what can only be described as a Cornish take on a Mediterranean oasis – complete with the best of both worlds. Cystal-blue waters await just a few minutes down the road, not to mention the famous 18-mile Camel Trail, access to which is just off the property’s garden path. Then, of course, there are the chef-named restaurants – several of which are within walking distance of Kilden Mor – and the water taxis going across to Rock, a neighbouring village. With so much to do in the area, it is no surprise that Sarah White and David Mason, the owners of Kilden Mor, were drawn to the property when they decided to buy in Padstow in June 2019. David was born in Cornwall and has family there, making it an obvious place for him and partner Sarah to visit when they were craving some time by the sea. It was November 2018 when the couple first came across the property, which was then a traditional, two-bedroom bungalow dating back to the 1930s. Initially used as a family home, the house had clearly been loved but had stood empty for some time. During the design process, Sarah and David’s primary aims were to maximise the space of the property and ensure that the incredible view was the focal point of the home. To achieve these goals, they decided the best course of action would be to demolish the current property and start from scratch, as this was the only way they could incorporate everything they wanted without impacting nearby properties or the views of others. Thus, Kilden Mor is still a single-storey house from street level, despite spanning three floors. This sprinkling of innovation can be seen right across the property, which bucks modern, ‘boxy’ design trends to reflect local colours and complement the beautiful coastline of which it is a part – all whilst comprising interesting shapes to make the property stand out in all the right ways. The result is a family home that is perfect for bringing people together and allowing them to socialise, all whilst delivering a secluded and secure oasis of a garden that flows seamlessly into the house and complements the selfcatering experience. However, getting to this point was not easy, as the architects had to overcome hurdles relating to everything from height restrictions to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite all the stopping and starting, Sarah, David, and the team of talented professionals they had immersed themselves with persevered – and the couple bringing in Jo Midwinter, an awardwinning garden designer in Cornwall. who helped create a garden oasis. Kilden Mor’s garden is not the only space to benefit from the services of experts, as the interior of the property although modern, steps away from a plain white aesthetic, and makes significant use of colour to create a warm and welcoming feel. Sarah and David were helped in this scheme by Matt Robinson of Jam Interiors, as well as lighting design from Amos Lighting. Interior design brands used, include Tom Dixon for lighting and Jane Churchill and Farrow and Ball for wallpaper. Some of the art is also locally sourced, including a painting by Caroline Cleave, sourced from the nearby Whitewater Gallery and art from Art World Gallery in Falmouth. Kilden Mor also benefits from ‘user-friendly’ smart home technology designed by Andy Best Luxury Self-Catering Accommodation 2025 – Cornwall May25336
from AGW Technologies which enables guests to create light moods to suit every occasion from a dinner party to movie night. The same personalisation has been created for each bedroom. This includes Sonos in every room, including surround sound in the open plan living space. Guests can enjoy Spotify and Netflix. Kilen Mor brings together luxury, quality and comfort from Miele appliances in the kitchen, to premium comfort beds in all the bedrooms, along with designer chairs and sofas. Even with the support of experts, Sarah and David were able to inject some style of their own into the build, and much of the vision for Kilden Mor comes from their own experiences. For example, the couple fell in love with Japanese architecture after a visit to the country in 2003, especially with the idea of rain chains. This is seen at the entrance to the property, which uses modern and angular versions of these chains in lieu of more traditional drains. Similarly, the couple lived in Canada for a number of years, and their appreciation of the country’s style is reflected in the hallway flooring, which was inspired by the frequent use of poured concrete to create amazing effects in North America. Because the options to achieve this in the UK are limited, Sarah and David were able to create a similar effect in the hallway, this in the form of a resin flower with a unique pattern and design. In early 2022, all of the hard work paid off when Kilden Mor – which translates to “retreat by the sea” in Cornish – was completed. Sarah and David were so pleased with the outcome of the project that they listed the property for let on Perfect Stays, a holiday-home company based in Cornwall that manages the property and delivers a concierge service. Since being added to Perfect Stays’ portfolio around three years ago, Kilden Mor has been stayed in by many happy groups and families, many of which have left glowing reviews of the property on platforms such as Trustpilot or through the Perfect Stays’ own website. Kilden Mor is today one of Perfect Stays’ most popular holiday homes all year round. By seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces to offer a getaway in Padstow that is quite unlike any other, Kilden Mor has established itself as a fitting recipient of the award for Best Luxury Self-Catering Accommodation 2025 – Cornwall. SME News UK Enterprise Awards 2025/ 10 Characterised by its passion for developing and delivering innovative, evidence-based solutions that are designed to drastically elevate hygiene standards across the world, ClearTrace Infection Control is an award-winning company whose dedication shines through its unique approach. Aptly dubbed the ‘Total Hygiene Approach’, this method sees ClearTrace conveying continued education and resources to a multitude of industries, allowing said sectors to onboard healthier, cleanliness-conscious practises. Be it working alongside healthcare, hospitality, food production, stadia, education, or manufacturing spaces, ClearTrace is enthusiastic about enabling the application of considerate infection control solutions. In the company’s own words – “We develop and deliver innovative products, services, and technologies that help to save lives.” This very mission statement is one that underpins each decision made by this exemplary entity. Between its cleanliness courses and its vast array of products and technologies, ClearTrace offers a vivid exploration of the variety of cleaning solutions available to all manner of clients. Strictly evidencebased, these solutions not only help to reduce infection, but also promise to adapt and respond to emerging needs in order to cultivate a healthier landscape for all. This notion is further explored in the company’s aforementioned ‘Total Hygiene Approach’. In essence, this framework reflects the importance of facilitating evidence-based cleaning and disinfection practises and products when considering the wellbeing of staff, service users, and patients alike. This is predominantly applied to the realm of healthcare – a key focus of ClearTrace. Suited to clients and hospitals alike, ClearTrace presents access to solutions that have been designed with the high risk nature of a medical environment in mind. In such an environment – wherein infection can run rampant – the application of proven solutions is critical, and ClearTrace is on-hand to provide them. After emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic, the world recognised that it needed to change. Areas needed to be subjected to far greater levels of cleaning and hygiene. Regardless of the space, frequent disinfecting through the use of high grade products can mean the difference between health and infection, and nobody is more in-tune with this truth than ClearTrace. Equipped with specialised skills, ClearTrace is able to capably assess how to guarantee the protection of a range of environments, and more so how to purge an area of harmful and potentially dangerous bugs and germs. As ClearTrace explains – “Products are only as good as their application”, and it’s for this reason that the company promises excellence from start to finish. As the only organisation to be awarded ISO:9001 for the Provision of Specialist Cleaning and Infection Control, ClearTrace has demonstrated its avid dedication to improving the lives of all types of people across the world. Striving to keep people healthy, safe, and alive, ClearTrace is a multi-award-winning company that SME News is truly proud to award yet again. Equipped with products, services, and technologies to improve hygiene standards and prevent infection on a worldwide scale, ClearTrace Infection Control is praised by many as the definitive infection control provider. SME News UK Enterprise Awards 2025/ 12 Best Home Care Provider 2025 – London Whether providing short-term assistance or long-term care, Handling Care empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives in the comfort of their own home. Located in London, this trusted complex care agency is dedicated to providing exceptional home care and support services tailored to the unique needs of each individual it serves. Renowned across England and Wales for its superior services, Handling Care has been named a winner in SME News Magazine’s UK Enterprise Awards 2025. We spoke with Maria Barbosa, Owner, Director, and CEO of Handling Care, about what this award means for the team and what’s ahead. Handling Care was founded in 2016, born from a passion to meet the needs of vulnerable individuals whilst delivering a top-tier service. Boasting a team of more than 60 experienced professionals, Handling Care specialises in providing personal care, companionship, medication management, post-operative care, and specialised support for chronic conditions and disabilities. Since the company’s inception, it has remained committed to improving its clients’ quality of life through compassionate, personalised care delivered across England and Wales. Care Philosophy: Compassion, Respect & Excellence “We strive every day to deliver support that empowers individuals with complex health needs to live safely and comfortably in their own homes,” Maria told us. “Our core values – compassion, respect, excellence, integrity, and collaboration – guide every aspect of our work. We believe in treating every client as an individual, honouring their personal choices and cultural backgrounds, while maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism.” These values are deeply embedded in Handling Care’s daily operations, from the way its carers provide hands-on support to how its office team communicates and coordinates services. The care agency’s slogan, “Your Smile, Our Priority!” reflects its unfaltering commitment to bringing comfort, reassurance, and joy to those it serves – because the team’s shared core values are the very foundation of all they do for clients on a daily basis. Innovation in Complex Care In a saturated market, Handling Care stays ahead of the curve by prioritising innovation, quality, and adaptability. The care agency develops client-centred care plans that are tailored, inclusive, and regularly reviewed to reflect individual needs and progress, working collaboratively with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create a holistic and multidisciplinary approach centred on the wellbeing of each client. What’s more, Handling Care integrates advanced digital tools to streamline communication, enhance documentation, and ensure continuity of care for its clientele. Alongside this, Handling Care recognises that the sustained success of its service starts with the wellbeing and development of its team. The agency believes that its unique selling point lies in the specialised training its employees receive, particularly in supporting clients in complex injuries, such as brain injuries – an area that continues to rapidly evolve. Handling Care is committed to ongoing specialist training, enabling their team to stay at the forefront of complex care, and deliver expert, rehabilitation-focused care. Handling Care also invests significantly into motivating its workforce, understanding that care is more than just a job. Professional growth is closely linked to personal wellbeing and, realising this, Handling Care strives to provide unwavering support and compassion to its employees. If any member of the team feels overwhelmed in their personal life, Handling Care does everything it can to ensure that they feel supported, valued, and in the best position to deliver outstanding care – both for their own development and for the benefit of the clients it serves. Navigating Staffing Challenges & Immigration Rules in UK Care Sector When faced with challenges such as staffing shortages, operational pressures, or regulatory shifts, the team respond with flexibility, strategic planning, and a commitment to upholding the very highest standards of care. At present, Handling Care has noted that one of the most significant challenges currently impacting the UK care industry is the tightening of immigration rules, particularly those concerning overseas care workers. The UK government has introduced new visa regulations aimed at reducing net migration. “These changes have had a substantial effect on staffing across the sector, particularly for providers like us who have relied heavily on international recruitment to fill persistent workforce gaps,” Maria explains. “Sourcing domestic workers for complex care roles continues to present challenges, but we’re actively developing strategies to attract and retain local talent while continuing to invest in our incredibly dedicated international staff.” She adds, “Both our company and our clients deeply value the dedication, resilience, and expertise overseas care workers bring to the table. Their contribution is vital to the compassionate, high-quality service our clients rely on.” Handling Care remains fully compliant with evolving regulations and continues to invest in both domestic and international staff. “We believe that diversity makes us stronger,” Maria says. Recruiting from a wide range of cultural and religious backgrounds enables the team to provide truly person-centred care that’s respectful, inclusive, and rooted in understanding. “Our team is united by shared values, not borders,” Maria adds. “That’s how we build stronger relationships with our clients and ensure every individual feels seen, heard, and supported.” Handling Care’s London location also provides the agency with access to a wide network of professionals, training resources, and healthcare innovation, driving the team to elevate their standards and continuously improve. Through its stringent commitment to specialist training and multidisciplinary collaboration, Handling Care not only contributes to the quality of local care but also raises expectations and influences best practices across the wider care sector. The Future Ahead Moving forward, Handling Care will continue to reshape the wider care AIS-May25007
sector through a number of short-and-long-term strategies focused on the expansion and enhancement of its services. SME News UK Enterprise Awards 2025/ 14 Furniture installation is a vital component of the development process, and one that can cause particular difficulties. For developers, furniture must be installed professionally and on-time – when working alongside tight deadlines, any mistakes can lead to costly delays. As for logistics companies, while they handle the transportation of said furniture, many lack the skilled personnel needed to ensure professional installation. That’s where Bilu Services steps in, a London-based company providing highly trained fitters to deliver high quality installations, without straining its client’s inhouse team. We heard more from Iago de Menezes, Owner and Director of Bilu Services, below. The industry’s trusted furniture installation partner, Bilu Services is a leading personnel agency dedicated to providing skilled furniture fitters to logistics organisations, working within the four primary markets of Built to Rent, student accommodation, office fitouts, and removals. Rather than operating as a logistics company, with its own warehouses and premises, Bilu Services instead opts to work with logistics companies to extend their team via provided personnel, allowing them to extend upon their promises and growth trajectory without compromising the quality of their work. Regardless of the project’s scope and size, whether local or international, Bilu Services can guarantee its trained personnel will complete the job to the highest standards, from unloading the truck to distributing and assembling the furniture. Though located in London, Bilu Services operates across the UK and also provides the same expertly skilled team for office relocations and contract cleaning. This comprehensive suite of services has wellpositioned Bilu Services as the top choice for furniture contractors throughout the industry. What sets Bilu Services apart in a saturated industry is the company’s commitment to ongoing development. Both the company and its clientele operate within industries that are heavily led by certifications and schemes. While many entities assume that these are not important to pursue, or that the responsibilities fall upon the client, Bilu Services takes a different approach, believing that the best way to support its clientele is to continue learning, levelling up, and delivering with pride. Bilu Services arrives prepared and equipped to each fitout, eliminating any need for the client to worry about sourcing the right equipment. The company invests heavily into its personnel training and qualifications, resulting in a team that boasts a wide range of certification for furniture fit outs, including SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS, Asbestos Awareness, IOSH, Manual Handling, and First Aid, to name a few. Alongside this, Bilu Services runs a leadership programme to support and prepare individuals to lead teams and manage projects successfully in the long run, enabling them to grow from fitters to supervisors and site managers. In such a fluctuating market, an exceptional team can be difficult to effectively manage. Bilu Services, however, oversees a team that tends to average approximately 60 members, though it can exceed 100 members at times. Provided with ongoing support, professional and personal development initiatives, and the space to grow, the team at Bilu Services is highly motivated to succeed. This, in turn, benefits the company’s clients and partners by better equipping them to deliver excellence to their own customers. As a result, a symbiotic relationship is developed – one that Bilu Services is integral to driving, ensuring both partners grow and succeed together. “Partnerships are the only way in business. Rely on Bilu to uphold your brand’s reputation with professional, seamless furniture installation services. We act as an extension of your team, ensuring your brand is presented with excellence in every project.” Partnerships form the very heart of Bilu Services operational philosophy, guiding its every move. “At Bilu Services, we deeply value our partners and their clients,” Iago told us. “We follow through on our commitments; we pride ourselves on our transparency and commitment, standing by our partners through their challenges and successes. This dedication allows us to achieve new heights and proudly collaborate with some of the leading companies in the furniture fitout industry.” When it comes to client service, Bilu Services is renowned for never dropping the ball. As with any project, mistakes are bound to be made. What allows Bilu Services to shine, in this respect, is the company’s commitment to facing hurdles head-on. Working behind the scenes and under its partners’ brands does not mean that Bilu Services shies away from responsibility and accountability, rather that the company is always on-hand to address the challenge directly. Ultimately, Bilu Services works to always provide the solution, and never the problem. As for when scaling the business and its growth, Bilu Services takes a meticulously selective approach. With partnership serving as a core component of its ethos, the company carefully chooses just two new clients a year to work Most Trusted Furniture Installation Specialists 2025 – London Apr25324
alongside, an approach that has been in practice since 2022. No two partners are ever the same, and with this understanding, Bilu works closely with them and their personnel to match their needs individually. If the team feels that onboarding a new client will compromise the work in progress or does not fit with the client’s team and culture, they will walk away – never prepared to promote acquisition over retention. With the ultimate goal to build lasting partnerships within one year, Bilu Services focuses on delivering exceptional services and seamlessly integrating each of its partner’s needs into its operations. This has been a remarkably successful approach for Bilu Services; to date, the company has achieved 100% total client retention rate. This is a statement to the high calibre of commitment and trust fostered within its relationships, and the very key to Bilu Services’ sustained success in recent years. The last 12 months have been incredibly prosperous for Bilu Services; the company was able to expand its services, taking charge of the installation process. By working closely with project managers, Bilu Services have been able to handle almost the entire implementation phase. Previously, the team would simply turn up and install furniture under the management of an allocated person in control. Now, Bilu Services can receive the whole project, access it, and engage with one of its partners to arrange the logistics – receiving the goods, shipping them out, receiving them onsite, distributing, installing, and signing them off. This is all done whilst reporting in line with the process, KPIs, and SLAs. “This marks a significant progress in our skill force, as well as our vision to become the most trusted go-to,” Iago shared. “Our goal is to allow companies to grow, without having to risk cashflow, HR commitments, and payroll. By having the ability to outsource the installation in full, our clients can focus on winning more, with the confidence that having us on their side ensures a seamless process – avoiding the need to use multiple parts to make it happen. Not only can they do more, but they can also do more at what they excel at: Design, Procurement, and Project Management – while we handle the logistics and implementation.” This development has already accounted for 30% of Bilu Services’ growth in 2024, with anticipation for this area to become 50% of its entire revenue through 2025. Over the next 12-24 months, Bilu Services will focus on two key areas without compromising its current progress. Its first focus lies in the expansion and enhancement of its installation capabilities, with the ultimate priority being the delivery end-toend project support that enables partners to focus on core business areas. Bilu Services’ second focus will be on expanding its services into furniture, fixtures, and equipment fitout. While the company presently handles all aspects of loose furniture, the team will be making the addition of fitted furniture to its repertoire, in the form of joinery. A variety of options will become available within the next 12 months through this expansion, including fitted rooms, kitchens, and wardrobes. The launch will require a vast training programme for existing team members to brush up on their skillsets, with additional members poised to bring their own relevant experience and skillsets to the team. In order to effectively integrate these new products into its offerings, Bilu Services must undertake ongoing conversations with its current partners to determine how the logistics will be covered, striving to maintain its industrycelebrated standards. The future is bright for Bilu Services, a company continually striving for progress. The company remains focused and determined in its mission of growth and improvement, whilst maintaining the superior quality and selective partnerships that have earned its reputation. While its future endeavours are ambitious, they will enable the company to serve its clients to an even higher standard - enhancing service quality, efficiency, and driving the advancement of the furniture installation sector across the country. This measured approach to growth, ensuring ongoing expansion without compromising its core strengths and ethos, has positioned Bilu Services to stand as a beacon of excellence within the industry, named London’s Most Trusted Furniture Installation Specialists 2025.
