UK Enterprise Awards 2026

UK Enterprise Awards 2026 / 132 Disability Access & Inclusion Champions of the Year 2026 – South West England & Disability Access & Inclusion Specialist of the Year 2026 (South West England): Carron Croker Despite only opening its doors in late 2025, Access For All South West has already made waves in and around South Gloucestershire for its work supporting disabled individuals in overcoming the barriers they face every day. Behind the company is Carron Croker, an access and inclusion specialist whose own journey is the foundation of the business she has built. We caught up with Carron following both her own recognition and that of her company within our UK Enterprise Awards 2026. A company dedicated to improving accessibility for everyone, Access For All helps businesses and communities in South West England and beyond to create spaces that everyone can access, reviewing their compliance with the Equality Act 2010. It will carry out a full audit of a client’s premises (including any outside spaces) to make sure that everything is up to scratch, but this is really just the beginning. For example, Carron also provides a consultancy service, which could take the form of teaching people about inclusive language in the workplace, mentoring business leaders on disability in the workplace, or even supporting companies in making reasonable adjustments for an existing team member whose circumstances have changed. Team training sessions are another service Access for All offers, as well as a public-speaking provision on topics such as DE&I. These services are almost always transformative for the client, as a spokesperson for one company Carron visited shared: “The accessibility audit report was very thorough, and picked up on things that we hadn’t considered. Following Carron’s audit, we committed to redesigning key customer spaces, and it also prompted a company-wide rethinking of our door accessibility policy.” They concluded: “Her insights didn’t just highlight barriers; they inspired us to action.” This is what it is all about for Carron, whose aim is simply to make a difference in the lives of those living with disabilities, removing not just the physical barriers, but also barriers created by unconscious bias, workplace policies, and so on. What makes Carron especially proud is that she can already see the differences her work has made, despite only being around ten months in. Assessing her impact in the field, Carron has already played an invaluable part in a project redesigning a local high street, and she worked alongside South Gloucestershire Council’s project team and car park design engineers, as well as auditing dropped curbs on roads and bus stops. Carron has also lent her knowledge to paving reviews and advising on disabled blue badge parking areas within this local community. As for where her motivation for all of this comes from, Carron told us: “My lived experiences both as an able-bodied person and a disabled person, alongside the time spent in acute hospital settings, offer an understanding of medical issues, life-changing events, and the practical issues faced daily by the disabled community that few can match, making my work truly unique.” Notably, this work not only includes those with physical disabilities, but also individuals with learning disabilities. This group is especially underrepresented in the workplace, as only 6% of adults with a learning disability are in paid employment, despite 86% saying they would like to be, this according to research by Mencap. The main cause of this gap is not capability, and it often comes down to a lack of awareness and understanding from employers. With every July being Disability Pride Month, there is no better time for employers to show their recognition for the disabled community and get the ball rolling on promoting greater inclusion in their workplaces. New customers looking to book with Carron during the month of July can even enjoy a 10% discount across her services, which is a great incentive. The lived experience Carron brings to Access for All makes the company a fantastic advocate for real and lasting change. We are delighted to feature both Carron Croker and Access For All South West here in this programme, and urge those looking to know more to visit the web address below. “Let us help you become inclusive and welcoming to everyone.” Contact: Carron Croker Company: Access For All South West Web Address: https://www.accessforall.uk/ Access For All South West
