“Ground-breaking Innovations from Ogab® Invent”

Based in Bridgwater, Somerset, Ogab® is a pioneering R&D company which specialises in sustainable technology, with a specific focus on the automotive industry through its revolutionary technology for sustainable braking. Let’s explore the company’s contribution to this industry as we celebrate its recent win in our UK Enterprise Awards 2024.

With a strong commitment to collaboration and knowledge sharing, Ogab® believes that the best way to combat environmental issues is with shared vision and combined effort Director Osama Elogab shares, “We welcome partnerships with like-minded organisations. Moreover, we take pride in being a company that not only innovates but also inspires the next generation of engineers and scientists.”

Introducing Ogab®’s green engineering innovations, such as its technology for sustainable braking, it’s an honour to dive deeper into its sustainable technology solutions as 2025 begins to unfold. Looking back on the year gone by, where the company was recently bestowed with the esteemed title of Most Innovative Technology & Aerodynamics R&D Company 2024, we’re sure that this year will be extremely bright for Ogab®.

For every 200 car disc brakes produced, Ogab®’s innovative thermal management systems and sustainable technology solutions are here to alleviate the increasing number of kilograms of particulate matter, including PM10 and PM2.5, going into our atmosphere.

As the automotive industry is being pushed in the direction of decarbonisation, electrification, and emissions reduction, now is the best time to invest in innovative products which can alter our impact indefinitely. Osama tells us, “One of the key developments is the impending Euro 7 regulation, which aims to further reduce pollutants, including brake dust emissions. This regulation has a direct impact on our work, as our sustainable braking systems are designed to meet and exceed Euro 7 targets by significantly cutting down particulate emissions without sacrificing performance.”

With the UK’s goals solidifying in regards to reducing emissions, Ogab® continues to positively contribute to the goals of the region. Osama continues, “In the UK, the drive towards net-zero emissions by 2050 has further accelerated the demand for innovative and sustainable automotive technologies. Our commitment to developing advanced braking solutions aligns perfectly with these regulatory trends and positions Ogab as a key player in helping manufacturers achieve compliance with future standards.”

As sustainable braking systems allow us to experience enhanced performance through sturdy brake temperatures, we can reduce our emissions significantly. Ogab®’s innovative sustainable braking system creates a cleaner solution to reduce the impact of driving on the environment. Also preventing overheating and brake fade, this invention is not only more environmentally friendly but also safer for those on our roads.

With its sustainable disc brakes being used around the world, Ogab®’s braking technology is spreading quickly as many companies and people strive to make a difference to the emissions we create through our vehicles.

“With Ogab®, you’re not just improving performance… you’re taking an active step towards environmental responsibility.”

Utilising its creativity and original ideas, Ogab® steps outside the box to find new solutions to existing problems. While it boasts years of combined experience in many technical fields, the company was born from humble beginnings. Its team members treat one another as equals and are each offered continuous learning through professional development programmes, mentorship, and the chance to work on many cutting-edge products.

Although this industry is fast-paced, Ogab® thrives in a dynamic environment where its staff can feel challenged and creative in all they do. Leaning into their strong teamwork ethic an communication skills, Ogab®’s team make the impossible come to life.

For the future ahead, Osama comments, “Our primary focus for the coming year is the continued development and deployment of our sustainable braking technology. We are working on a next-generation brake system that not only drastically reduces brake wear particle emissions but also improves overall vehicle efficiency and safety.”

Also collaborating with pivotal automotive partners to bring its green technology to life across commercial and electric vehicles, Ogab® will be completing pilot programmes with major vehicle manufacturers and begin scaling production to meet growing demand. “This initiative aligns with global regulatory trends aimed at reducing particulate emissions and will position Ogab as a leader in sustainable braking solutions,” adds Osama.

It’s a pleasure to recognise Ogab®’s passion for R&D skills in the automotive industry, helping us to protect the planet one vehicle at a time.
