Dulverton Weir & Leat Conservation Trust

<p>Dulverton Weir &#038; Leat Conservation Trust is a community led initiative formed to restore and preserve one of the last remaining examples of a large scale river weir and leat system buit in the middle ages. Recognised by academics as the best preserved example of its type in England and known as an &#8216;Urban Watermill Landscape&#8217; it was fed by a huge 160 metre weir, the half a mile long leat with a &#8216;drop&#8217; of 22 feet over its length was used to power up to 9 watermills well into the 18th century.</p>
