Best Transport Heritage Preservation Charity 2026 – East Midlands
The Trust aims to advance public awareness and fundraising for transport heritage in the East Midlands by supporting the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre in Ruddington and the 10-mile Great Central Railway (Nottingham) to Loughborough. The Centre hosts an historic operating Bus collection, a miniature railway, and lots more.
In May-June our railway hosted very popular trains hauled by the historic express steam locos 'Flying Scotsman' and 'Tornado'.
