The Barn

The Barn transforms lives in Aberdeenshire by making the arts accessible to all. Founded in the 1990s in a disused farm building, it is now the region’s largest arts centre, welcoming over 15,000 people annually. With 12 staff and 50+ volunteers, we deliver creative events, workshops, and performances rooted in ecology, enhancing wellbeing and belonging. Our gardens, allotments, and creative spaces foster connection, dialogue, and shared experiences that combat rural isolation.
